May iPhone Dump

All I can say is this: Hallelujah, May is over!
I should love this month, it's my birthday, Fox's birthday, our anniversary, Mother's Day...but in reality, I always end up being stressed and it's a hard, emotional month for me. This year was especially hard and it will probably go down as the worst May in history, so I'm just glad to move on and hopefully have a better June.
Our company received some free tickets to the Taylor Swift concert, because we work with the facility, so for the first time in four years, we got a babysitter for Fox (that wasn't family or our au pair) and went with the entire staff.

The facility really hooked us up, we had a private suite that was fully catered with food and drinks!
Bump's first concert! I was a little nervous about attending a concert and if it would be too loud for him, although I read that it's totally fine.

It was a fun night, but I stayed up way past my bedtime and paid for it the next day...ha!

See that blue thing in Fox's hand? He gave it to me and said that was my "figurine" to play with. I told him, I didn't want to play with that thing and that I would like a real figurine and he kept trying to talk that thing up and then followed up with some blackmail. That kid!

Mother's Day
We invited Katie's family over for dinner and had a low key night.

Fox is not really affectionate with my belly, although he keeps asking when the baby is coming out and that he can't wait. I can't even count the times he ran into my belly head first or pushed off it when we are reading on the couch. Apparently it's also a pretty good pillow for him!

My friend Lindsi and I had a fun night out going to the Cat & Nat Show!

Fox was sick for his Mother’s Day celebration at school and we just received these fun interviews they did with him. The kid doesn’t know us at all!  I can see why he would think my job is to clean the laundry, but Katie is a doctor? I was laughing so hard, I was crying...loved this! (Katie is Mommy, I’m Mama)

The Nursery Remodel has been finished!
We (I’m using that term loosely...”we” meaning our contractor) replaced the floors, got new baseboards, new paint, new ceiling fan, new shutters and added four canned lights in the ceiling.
Now it’s time to move the furniture back in, unpack the dozens of boxes with baby stuff that have been piled up in our bedroom and the best part: decorate!

Fox asked for an ice cream cone when we saw them at the grocery store (he hasn't had one since he was one year old) and lucky for us, they were allergy safe for him. I don't know why he wanted them, because when we got them he didn't even know that you can eat them and asked if he can use it to put his toys in the cone after he's done with his ice cream. Once he had a bite though, he was a big fan...I have never seen anyone eat a cone faster than him!

I spent some time putting the nursery back together, but seeing this pile of baby laundry was kind of overwhelming. It's safe to say that we have enough clothes for the little guy...although some sizes might be the wrong season, so we'll have to see how it goes.

Summer Camp has started and I was a little nervous how Fox would do, since it's a new classroom, new teachers and some new kids. He loves the splash pad there though and seeing this picture on their Facebook page made me smile.

  2. May is so busy for us too!

Snuggling with baby bellies are the best! I mean followed behind that ice cream smile.
