Fox's 4th Birthday

Fox's 4th Birthday ended up being pretty rough for him. He had been sick for a few days, so we took him to the pediatrician the morning of his birthday and he was diagnosed with Strep Throat...and he hated that swab test and the medication he had to take.

We tried to make it special for him nonetheless and he was such a trooper through it all and didn't even make a peep when we told him we had to cancel his class party at school, even though he had been looking forward to it.

He cracked me up when he woke up that morning, found his gifts and the first thing he did was to put on the birthday hat without any prompting. He wore it almost all day. 

This year was all about legos, he's been obsessed lately, so we picked out a few sets for him while we were at Legoland a few weeks ago.

Happy Kid...even with strep!

I ended up staying home with him that day and we pretty much built legos together for the rest of the day!

The next day, Katie's family came over to cook me dinner since it was my birthday and we had a small family celebration for Fox as well!

I think he had a pretty good birthday even though he didn't feel well and he was very motivated to get better for his upcoming party with all of his friends! Last year we had to re-schedule his party because he was sick, but luckily we were able to have a great celebration for him the following weekend!
