Well, here we go again...we are under contract for a new House!
After last month's disaster with the other House, I didn't feel like looking any further. I felt content where we were at and falling in love with a house and then not getting it had emotionally drained me.
Two weeks ago, I agreed to do a drive-by to a few houses Katie had liked and we instantly fell in love with a neighborhood. Windy roads and super nice houses, all nestled on the edge of a mountain with hiking trails nearby. And only four short miles from work. How did we not know about this neighborhood? It seemed perfect for us, perfect for raising our family.
We arranged to see the house two days later with our realtor and Katie's family in tow. I knew that I'm way too emotional when it comes to houses and I wanted an honest to god opinion about one of the biggest decisions of our life, and we knew Katie's mom would give it to us.
The rest is history. Katie's mom loved the house and neighborhood and seemed even more excited about it than us.
Moving Day is November 1st and while I’m already sad about leaving our first house, we’re ready to make new memories in the new one!
Here’s the Tour….these pictures were taken by the Realtor while the previous owner still lived in it.
This fireplace might have sold me...haha. It's double sided, with one side in the Master bedroom and the other one right by the bathtub!
I always wanted a window seat! Love it! This will be the future nursery!
Of course, with every house, there comes a list with things you want to change. We hate the floors in the kitchen / living room and we'd love to get some stacked stone on the front of the house (and a paint job), but these things might have to wait a little while.
