Visiting Santa

Fox has been obsessed with Santa since November. In every store we would go, he would point out if there was a Santa on anything. We go to Hobby Lobby quite often and there are always tons of Santa items there, so one day I drove by the store with him and he pointed to the store and yelled "Santa". He is truly my child!
I was pretty confident that seeing him in person would go pretty well, although I secretly hoped that he would lose his shit, because let's face it, those pictures are always the best! #MeanMom
One week earlier we had missed a huge lunch with our friends, followed my Santa Pictures, because Fox was sick, so we decided to go to Bass Pro Shops, since they offered free pictures. When we got there, we found out that you had to get a ticket to see Santa and that the next available spot was seven hours later, at 5pm. What in the world? I thought it would be crowded, but a 7 hour line? We grabbed a pass to come back later, rode the carrousel and looked around the store for a while before going to lunch and home for Fox's nap.

He loves carousels and one ride is never enough in his opinion! He also doesn't like you to hold him, when I rode with him, he kept slapping my hands away, telling me no!

We had to put this four wheeler on his Christmas list! ;)

Fox and Grandpa are two peas in a pod. They are so cute together and always giggling.

That night, it was finally time to meet the big guy.

Fox thought he was pretty cool!

Experiencing moments like this with him makes my heart explode with so much joy. This is what I dreamed about for so many years and it is so much more than I ever imagined. My heart has been so full this month and most days I can't believe that this is my life. I am a mom! I love being his mom and I'm so grateful for our families and Katie. And moments like this!

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
