Diblings

This is a very personal post to me, but I wanted to share about our amazing journey and the family members we have gained along the way.  Fox has nine half siblings. Well, he probably has more than that, but we know of nine. We call them “diblings” (donor siblings), I’m not sure where the word came from, but I believe one of the other moms in the group came up with it. There are nine boys (including Fox) and one girl…which pretty much defeats all my hope for a future daughter…haha.  But let me start from the beginning.  After finding out that we were pregnant, more than 2.5 years ago, we registered on the “Sibling Registry” of our Cryobank. After they made sure that we had used this donor, they gave us access to the database of other families who had used the same donor as us, or at least the families who were interested in having contact with other families. Many people do not feel comfortable with having this connection, so when we registered there were only two ...

Fox | 22 Month Update

Health: He was great this month! Nicknames: Bubba, Turkey, Schatzi, Bubbles, Mr. Fox, Foxy, Pumpkin, Poodle, Bossy Eating: Same as usual! He usually doesn’t want to try anything new, you could put a piece of chocolate on his plate and he would make a face without trying it and telling us it needed to get off his plate. Teething:   No new teeth this month, he has 16 now. Scared about those 2 year molars. Sleeping: Sleep was kind of hit and miss this month. While he still sleeps through the night fine, he would wake up super early (like between 5 and 5:30am), so we decided to only let him nap two hours during the day now (he would sleep 3-4 if we let him) to help improve his night time sleep, which has helped. We also tried to put him down 30 minutes earlier at night (at 7:30pm instead of 8pm), since we heard that this should help with him sleeping longer in the mornings as well. We are still trying this out, since we don’t always make i...

Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 11

Day 71 First Day in Universal Studios, FL. Harry Potter World was my favorite, such a cool experience! Day 72 I think Jurassic Park was Katie's Favorite! Day 73 We spent our last day having lunch on the City Walk right in front of the Park and they filmed "Extra" with Mario Lopez right in front of us! Day 74 Finally reunited with our sweet boy, we missed him so much while we were gone! Day 75 Fox found his little baby jumper at Aunt Ashlie's House and thought it was the most hilarious thing to jump like a crazy fool in there.  Day 76 Waving hi to the goats at the petting zoo! Day 77 Ice Cream Dates are our favorite! Whenever I ask him if I can have a bite, he agrees and hands over his cone, but the minute I take a bite, he gets so sad and pouty...it's pretty funny!

Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 10

Day 64 I had to work long, so Hannah took Fox to swim class and I met them there after work! Katie said this picture looks like he is crying, but it was pure joy! Day 65 That little guy next to me is almost two! Can you believe it? Day 66 Ice Cream Date with Hannah after the Splash Pad while we were working the Show. Day 67 Family Day at the Park Day 68 I had the morning off, so I was able to take Fox to his soccer class that morning. I love when I get to do these kind of things with him! It was fun seeing my friend Kristy and Fox's buddy Jake there! Day 69 Train Park Fun! Day 70 I took Fox to Gymboree that morning and he was so cute counting down to three with his fingers before jumping off this mat.

Easter Minis

My friend Lindsi referred a photographer who does Mini Sessions about every month or so for only $30 to $35 and since you all know how much I love pictures, you can imagine how fast I jumped on that opportunity. So when she posted the backdrop she was going to use, I cringed. I told Lindsi that I would've cancelled the session if I hadn't paid already and she agreed that it was very cheesy and we should probably ask her to just use the white picket fence instead.  But truth to be told, when we got there, neither of us had the heart to tell her, and you know what? Looking at it with my cute kid in there, it's not so bad. It is (almost) Easter after all, and in my opinion, a lot of Easter decorations are just cheesy. Isn't he the cutest?  I can't wait for her next sessions, she is doing a Lemonade Stand, Mommy and me Sessions and a Circus. I realized, as much as I love taking pictures, sometimes it is very overwhelming and stressful for me...

Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 9

Day 57 Fox and Hannah spent the afternoon at the splash pad while Katie and I had to work! Day 58 My friend Lindsi and I took the boys to the Zoo! Day 59 Family Day at the Park! We found this awesome Park/Playground about 25 minutes from our house, they have a train, waterfalls, an amazing playground and splash pad, a lake, skateboard ramps, a pool, and all kinds of sport courts. It's really cool, and I wish we'd live closer! Day 60 Fox loves to give treats to our dog Cosie. It's their daily ritual. He's also in charge of giving him food and actually notices when Cosie is out of food and knows where to get more! Day 61 We met our friends at the park and these two were so sweet holding hands on the way to the car! Day 62 Home Show Week! This was my view at work one morning, so pretty! Day 63 This kid stole my heart!

Fox | 21 Month Pictures

Some pictures of Fox's 21st month of Life! Fox had his fair share of Valentine's pictures this month. These were taken by a new photographer we found and while they aren't my favorites, I'm still glad we got them.  I love this picture though! My friend Lindsi had some pictures taken as well and during the end of the session, we decided to take a picture of the boys together. Aren't they so cute? One afternoon we blew up Fox's bounce house outside and he had the time of his life! At the Botanical Garden And that wraps it up!
