Easter Minis

My friend Lindsi referred a photographer who does Mini Sessions about every month or so for only $30 to $35 and since you all know how much I love pictures, you can imagine how fast I jumped on that opportunity.

So when she posted the backdrop she was going to use, I cringed. I told Lindsi that I would've cancelled the session if I hadn't paid already and she agreed that it was very cheesy and we should probably ask her to just use the white picket fence instead.
But truth to be told, when we got there, neither of us had the heart to tell her, and you know what? Looking at it with my cute kid in there, it's not so bad. It is (almost) Easter after all, and in my opinion, a lot of Easter decorations are just cheesy.
Isn't he the cutest?

I can't wait for her next sessions, she is doing a Lemonade Stand, Mommy and me Sessions and a Circus. I realized, as much as I love taking pictures, sometimes it is very overwhelming and stressful for me, because I love the end result, but not the actual process, especially with a busy toddler who hardly sits still anymore. So if I can pay someone to do it for me, I'm all about it. My poor child...luckily he doesn't mind all of the pictures (yet) and it's something I will treasure for the rest of my life.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
