February Re-cap

Another month, another iPhone dump. This month went by in a blur and looking back, I don't feel like we did anything at all (besides going to Disneyland), so I don't have many pictures. I will always remember this month as another month of just making it through the days, hoping I would be better the next day. And somehow, I made it to March and hopefully a step closer to feeling better.  I was about 14 weeks here and wearing a maternity shirt for the first time. I could stare at him forever. My sweet baby. I don't want him to grow up. Although he tells me he will still be sweet and still hold my hand, even when he is an adult and lives in space.  Best buddies. Seriously, I have never seen a sweeter friendship.  It was Transportation day at school and they brought in all kind of vehicles. Unfortunately I had to work, but my friend Jessica sent me all of these pictures of the boys together and it looked like they had a blast.  ...

15 Weeks Pregnancy Update

February 21, 2018 How far along: 15 weeks Baby is the size of: An apple. Or, according to my other pregnancy app, a box of crayons. Fox loves those comparisons and every week he pulls out whatever toy it is that week and we compare. I remember it being the size of a little lego figurine, then a matchbox car and now a crayon box. Total weight gain: Umm…over 12lbs up total. I’m basically back where I started in August. Maternity Clothes? Mixing both, regular clothes (leggings and shirts) and maternity clothes. I love how comfy the maternity pants are on my stomach, but they fall down on my legs and butt, so it looks pretty ridiculous. Even my sister in law commented how I looked like a mess from the waist down the other day. Haha. Stretch Marks? None. Sleep? Mostly getting up twice to use the bathroom and tossing and turning all night. I’m not a side sleeper at all, but I better get used to it. Best moment of the Week: I saw my frie...

14 Weeks Pregnancy Update

February 14, 2018 How far along: 14 weeks – Second Trimester! Baby is the size of a: Lemon. We have some lemons in the office and their sizes range a lot, so how accurate is this? Haha. Either way, even the smallest lemon looks huge to me. Baby weighs 1.5oz. Total weight gain: Lost half a pound over the last week…still up about 10lbs though. Maternity Clothes? I’ve been enjoying a brand new wardrobe this week! I’ve been thinking about how easy second pregnancies are logistic wise, because you already have everything you need…from maternity clothes and pregnancy pillows to everything you could possibly need for a baby. I’ve started a list of things we need to buy/register for and it’s pretty small, so that’s a win! Although, I also feel like second pregnancies are way less exciting than first ones. I would get so excited about every little baby item back then and now it’s more of a “been there, done that” attitude. Normal? Stretch Marks? Proba...

Family Pictures

For Christmas last year, we gave Katie's mom a gift certificate to take family pictures with everyone. It took us a year to finally get it done, because some of the family lives in different states and we usually only ever see everyone for Christmas. So a few days before Christmas we went out in the desert and our photographer snapped some quick pictures.  I will only post a few of them because she seriously gave us so many. My mother in law was super happy with them, so I think our gift was a success.  4 Generations All of the kids (and grandkids) This was also the day we announced our pregnancy to the rest of the family (only Katie's mom and stepdad knew before). When our photographer posed all of us for the last picture of the day, she yelled "Everyone says...Nadine is pregnant!". It didn't go as I expected to be honest. I don't know if she was too far away and people didn't hear it, but it was a super delayed ...

13 Weeks Pregnancy Update

February 7, 2018 How far along: 13 weeks Baby is the size of a: Peach or a Matchbox Car! Fox always asks me every day how big the baby is and is so excited when it’s something new every week. Total weight gain: I think 10lbs…ouch! The doctor said not to worry about it because with second pregnancies, it’s mostly water weight anyway. I also lost 14lbs between August and December before becoming pregnant, so I’m thinking this weight is sneaking up on me faster than normal, because I changed my eating habits and don’t work out anymore. But still...ouch! Maternity Clothes? Slowly but surely getting my maternity clothes out. They are pretty baggy on me right now, but I’m going for comfort, so it’s all good. Stretch Marks? Not yet. I didn’t get any with Fox, so I’m hoping I’ll be spared again. Sleep? Sleep is my only break from feeling miserable all day long. Unfortunately it’s hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep, but I better get used...
