Pumpkin Nights Take 2

My friend Trinidy invited Fox and I to join her and her kids at the Princess Resort for their Pumpkin Nights. Fox had already been twice, once with me and once with Katie, so I wasn't sure if he was up for going again, but there was no doubt in his mind. He finally settled on a costume a few days prior and wanted to wear it to the event. When we went a few weeks ago, it was so crowded that Fox was only able to go on one ride. When we arrived, the event had just opened and I told Trinidy that we should hit up the rides first to avoid long lines later, which worked out perfectly because there were no lines and the kids were able to go on multiple rides without having to wait. I agreed to go on this spinning ride with them and regretted it pretty quickly. I was so nauseous, but I loved hearing their giggles and screams. They went on this ride three more times after, needless to say, I didn't join.  S'mores time! I was surprised that he wanted to eat an entire s'more this t...

MacDonald's Ranch

Kristy and Jake are usually our pumpkin patch pals. We visit 2-3 patches together each October, but this year looked a lot different, since Jake was super busy with various sports he's playing and Kristy had just started a new job. We definitely missed them, but at the end of October we were able to squeeze in a quick visit to the patch with them. The boys gave each other the biggest hug and were so happy to finally be together again. This was a special date with just Fox, while Finnegan stayed home with Grandma. Every year this little hay maze is Fox's favorite spot. Jake and him ran around in it for what seemed like hours and even made a friend.  Trying to take a cute picture of my kid...that's what I got. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for about two hours, since Katie wanted him back at a certain time, but we had fun while it lasted.  When we left, I asked him what his favorite part was and he quickly said: "Spending it with you!" Sweet boy!

Pumpkin Painting

This was our fourth annual pumpkin painting playdate with our friends, and this year, we hosted it at our house. Finn had been talking about painting pumpkins for days and was really excited for his friends to come and get started.  I bought him a little ceramic pumpkin instead of a real one, because we have one that Fox painted three years ago and it's one of my favorite fall decorations, so obviously we needed one from Finn as well. We got a trampoline! Well actually, the boys received this from their grandparents for Christmas last year. It was supposed to go to Katie's house and since she never built it, I had asked her about 27 times since the pandemic started if we could have it, but she wasn't ready to give it up. I think she eventually realized that she will never actually set it up and Fox and I did a little happy dance when we finally got it. And I'm proud to say that I was able to set it up all by myself! It has seriously been such a blessing to have. The boy...

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Pumpkin Patch days are my favorite, especially with these two! Octobers are still hot in Arizona, but we decided to brave the heat and met some friends one late afternoon after the big kids got out of school. We had such a fun day, the kids ran around and had a blast, while us moms were trying to keep them all together and keep up with them. Finn loves to be outside and I'm so happy it's finally cooling off enough for him to play outside more.  He is always very proud when he manages to sit on a pumpkin all by himself. All the kids waiting for the train ride. They were excited to go in the corn maze. Finn gets a little scared in corn mazes, so I had to carry him most of the way, he kept saying "Corn maze spooky...Finn don't like it!" We all had some dinner together and didn't leave the farm until after 8pm. Beautiful day with amazing people!
