Pumpkin Nights Take 2

My friend Trinidy invited Fox and I to join her and her kids at the Princess Resort for their Pumpkin Nights. Fox had already been twice, once with me and once with Katie, so I wasn't sure if he was up for going again, but there was no doubt in his mind.
He finally settled on a costume a few days prior and wanted to wear it to the event.

When we went a few weeks ago, it was so crowded that Fox was only able to go on one ride. When we arrived, the event had just opened and I told Trinidy that we should hit up the rides first to avoid long lines later, which worked out perfectly because there were no lines and the kids were able to go on multiple rides without having to wait.

I agreed to go on this spinning ride with them and regretted it pretty quickly. I was so nauseous, but I loved hearing their giggles and screams. They went on this ride three more times after, needless to say, I didn't join.

S'mores time!

I was surprised that he wanted to eat an entire s'more this time, instead of just the marshmallows.

After rides and s'mores we walked around the resort and checked out all of their decorations.

When we went with Finn last month, we didn't really have the chance to look at their decorations, because Finn was too scared of them, but the big kids were all about it.

It's always so special to me to spend time with just Fox. And it always makes me realize how easy just having one is, but on the other hand, I always think about how much fun Finn would've had too.

We walked to their little lake and waited for their fireworks. It was perfect, because no one else was there and we were super close to them. It was a great night!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
