Hiking Adventures

A few weeks ago we went on a spontaneous hiking adventure with our friends. The boys were thrilled to see each other! They usually run away from our pictures, but Kristy told them it was the rule there to take a picture, so they obliged. It was a short hike and there was the cutest little creek to play in. He was really happy! And even happier when I let him climb this tree. I remember climbing so many trees when I was a child, but being a mom now, it gives me a little bit of anxiety to think what could happen. Jake asked me every two minutes if he could hold Finn, he is so sweet with him. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed our little hike. There were a few people that we met along the way that warned us about rattlesnakes they had seen, but luckily we didn't encounter any. We ended the night with dinner at a mexican restaurant, which ended up a little crazier than we expected it to be w...

Easter Pictures

A few weeks ago, we had our Easter pictures taken. This is the third year I brought Fox to the same photographer for Easter pictures and she always does the set up in her garden. After the Valentine's Day fiasco and all the craziness it involved, I had bribed Fox with a cupcake to listen to Samantha and to do a good job. And boy, he delivered...he really wanted that cupcake! Little Brother on the hand could not be bribed and was not having any of it. He usually always smiles for the camera, so I'm not sure what was up that day, but I secretly love crying baby pictures and he calmed down immediately when I picked him up after the 30 seconds it took to take these pictures.  I can't believe it's Easter already!

Finn | 35 weeks old

Finn is 35 weeks old! Apparently he loves these weekly pictures, as soon as I put him down on the sheet, he flashes a smile! Waiting at Big Brother's school for the Purim Parade to start. Car Seat naps are the worst. How is it possible that a 7 minute car seat nap can take the place of a 2 hour nap? No matter what I do, as soon as I try to transfer him into his crib, he wakes up and won't go back to sleep.  Park Date with our favorites! I love how much Kristy loves my kids! And Jake loves Finn just as much...he is obsessed! Always wants to hold him and cuddle on him. We had an impromptu Jamba Juice Date with Uncle Robert who was in town for a day. He's not a baby person, but I made him take a picture with Finn because I knew it would make his mom happy...haha. Finn's first girlfriend! It's seriously the best to have a good friend who has kids the exact same age as mine. He was trying to pull her ...

Finn | 34 weeks

Finn is 34 weeks old! My grandma made this teddy for me years ago, we have dozens of stuffed animals around the house that she knitted and they're all super special to me. Sleeping angel I was trying out an Easter outfit, but ended up sending it back, because I didn't love it and Fox's matching one was way too small for him.

Egg Smash

The Egg Smash of 2019 was a huge success! Fox and I had been talking about it all year long and he couldn't wait to do it again.  While the mommies prepared the eggs, the boys ran around in the splash pad. We invited another friend this year as well and all four boys were excited and ready to go! Ready, set, go! Each kid had a dozen eggs, we just emptied and washed them out at home and then filled them with paint at the playground. I have no idea how he got that blue paint on his forehead. I really love their pictures! Fox's creation from last year hangs in his bathroom and we still have to find a space for this one. After we got all cleaned up, the boys played on the playground and then we went into their neighborhood pool - first swim of the season for us! It was such a great day and I can't believe that Finn will be old enough to participate next y...
