Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 25

Day 169
Dinner and Escape the Room with these lovely ladies! We made it out in the nick of time!

Day 170
Our friend Marcela gifted us a summer full of Music lessons! She is taking the same class with her daughter and Miranda was happy to share all of her snacks with Fox. He wasn't too sure what to think about it. 

Day 171
Father's Day Dinner with my in-laws. We left Fox at home with Hannah for this one.

Day 172
We've been dealing with some health issues with Fox and took him to the doctor to get some answers. Fox took his doctor play set with him and our pediatrician was so sweet to play with him for a minute, which helped Fox with trusting him and being okay for the exam. 

Day 173
Can anyone guess who Fox's favorite Superhero is?

Day 174
Three years of foot print stepping stones in the making, I can't believe how much he grew. I might have to re-do the last one again, because I let the dough sit too long (because Fox was napping) before using it which caused it too crack. 

Day 175
Back at the doctor's office with another pediatrician.  This visit ended in a blood draw and stool collection, and Fox was not a happy camper about his first blood draw. It's been a few days and he still talks about how he didn't like the poke. Poor guy, I felt so terrible for him.

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Germany

I took a quick trip to Germany over spring break while the boys were on vacation with Katie. My dad had some medical issues over the past year, and it had been almost two years since I went, but a trip that was supposed to be five days in Germany, ended up being only four days because of flight delays. When in Germany for the first time, you HAVE to try Mettbroetchen. Needless to say, she was not a fan haha. A trip down memory lane is always on the agenda for the first day, walking around my village, visiting the homes where I grew up in (which are luckily still owned by my family), visiting my grandparent's graves, and eating all my favorite foods.  My only living grandparent, and one of the main reasons I wanted to go visit. It was so special to spend time with her. We had doener almost every day! Family dinner at my favorite restaurant one night, I absolutely loved how many people were able to join us even though it was very short notice. We also had breakfast at my grandma'...

August phone dump

It's September, and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come...Fall, Halloween, Christmas...it's my favorite time of year. But let's look back at our August! I've had them fill out the same back to school form since they started school many years ago. When all the kids go back to school, us moms celebrate with a back to school brunch and it was everything my heart needed and more! So many good conversations, so many laughs, and getting to hold baby Nora was the icing on the cake! Playdate with some friends! Fox read with me in the car while we were waiting for Finn's bus...it made me so happy! He asked me to make him an "ultimate chill space" while he was at school, and this is what I came up with. He approved, and even tried to have a sleepover with me there, but we only made it for about an hour, before we went to bed.
