My Once Upon a Time...

It's September, and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come...Fall, Halloween, Christmas...it's my favorite time of year. But let's look back at our August! I've had them fill out the same back to school form since they started school many years ago. When all the kids go back to school, us moms celebrate with a back to school brunch and it was everything my heart needed and more! So many good conversations, so many laughs, and getting to hold baby Nora was the icing on the cake! Playdate with some friends! Fox read with me in the car while we were waiting for Finn's bus...it made me so happy! He asked me to make him an "ultimate chill space" while he was at school, and this is what I came up with. He approved, and even tried to have a sleepover with me there, but we only made it for about an hour, before we went to bed. Off to third and seventh grade they go! This summer break just flew by, and I'm usually not one to say this. We had so much fun, so many great adventures, and we were all sad to see it coming to an end. I had never been to Fox's middle school before, because I worked last year for meet the teacher and curriculum night, so I was very happy to have him show me around campus and meet his teachers for the coming year. Side note: he absolutely HATED that I wanted to take his picture here, but he humored me. I have been taking these pictures since Fox started school at two years old, and these little side by sides always break my heart a little.  I hope they will have a great year!

Happy 8th Birthday to the funniest, most opinionated, cuddliest, sweetest, and endlessly energetic kid I know! Watching you grow up is bitter sweet, and I’m so proud to be your mom! Just stay little for a bit longer please! We spent his actual birthday as a family, and I took the boys to a claw machine arcade, because Finn LOVES claw machines. They came home with so many stuffed animals and trinkets. For his big gift, I got him an airhockey table for the playroom and they've been playing on it so much already! We had dinner with his other moms and GG and then got some Ice cream afterwards.  His kids birthday party is still coming up, but he told me thank you for such an amazing day at least twelve times that day! My sweet baby, I wish I could keep him little forever!
