My Once Upon a Time...

We loved having our foster dog Walter for a couple of weeks, he was the best dog, and the kids still talk about him. Unfortunately we found out that Fox is highly allergic to dogs, so no more dogs for the time being. A little before and after DIY project. I've been wanting to paint the inside of our fireplace for years, and finally got around to it. When it's 120 out, Skyzone is the perfect place to release some energy.  Comedy Show with my two besties, it was such a fun night! We met some other friends there too! My friend Corinne turned 40 in July, and we celebrated with a hotel pool party. My little side kick. Our friend Trinidy had moved to North Carolina last summer, but she came for a visit to celebrate Corinne's birthday. We all had dinner together one night and it was so good to see her and catch up. Fox and I had a very special underwater adventure this summer. This is at our local aquarium, and he was so nervous going into it, even though he had asked to do this for a very long time.  I was nervous as well, as I don't like to go diving, but more nervous for him, and not able to communicate how he was feeling once we were under. He held my hand so tightly most of the thirty minutes of the experience, and kept squeezing it three times in a row - our special way of saying "I love you" to each other.  I thought it was really cool, and I enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. We got to touch and feed stingrays, and there were some sharks in the tank as well.  I was so proud of him for overcoming his fears, and trying something that he wasn't so sure about. When we got out, he told me that he loved it, even though he was nervous.  I'm so happy we got to do this together, just him and I. It was a really special morning.
