Girls Trip

My favorite weekend every year: our annual girls trip!
Since starting work full-time at the hospital last summer, I don't get to see my friends a lot anymore, I'm either with the boys, or I'm working, but for this trip I took some PTO and it was everything I needed and more.

This year, we rented the cutest little cabin in Pine, about two hours from Phoenix. Becky and I shared this cute bedroom.

The bunk room!

After everyone arrived, our friend Corinne cooked us dinner, and we played games by the fire.

This may have been one of my favorite parts, we all sat outside enjoying the sunshine and reading our books.

We had some mimosas before walking into town to get some lunch and shopping.

What I love about these trips, is that there is no pressure, and no expectations. Everyone can do their own thing if they want to, want to take a nap...go take a nap, want to read your book...go read, but it was also really amazing spending all this time together, making meals, playing games, and just catching up.

After checkout, we visited Tonto Natural Bridge, and did a little hike together.

We ended the trip with one last lunch on the way home together, and I loved every second of our time together.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
