October iPhone dump

I took the boys on a short staycation at the Great Wold Lodge, and Fox invited his best friend from school to join us. I have never seen him so smitten before, it was really cute.

While the big kids ventured out on their own at the water park, Finn and I had the best time together.

The hotel set up a little trick or treat area for the kids too.

Fox's friend got picked up late that night, but then joined us again in the morning for more water park fun.

Finn has been talking about this mining activity the entire time we were there, and was so happy to finally do it.

I remember doing this ropes course with Fox when he was just five years old. Finn is still too scared to do it, but the big kiddos had fun on it.

In n Out date with my two favorite guys!

When you compare these pictures, you can see their personalities to a T.

I found a local musical production for Diary of a wimpy kid, and both boys love the books, so I decided to get tickets for us. It was such a good play, and the cast was super young (starting at only five years old), they were all so talented!

Some days I have to remind myself at work, that these are the days I had dreamed about when I was in nursing school. I still absolutely love nursing and the unit I work on (Oncology), but it's so much more stressful than I ever thought it would be, and emotionally, mentally, and physically draining, but yet, so rewarding, as well as humbling.

Scooter ride after dinner to look at Halloween decorations.

Finn decided he needed to cool off in the neighbor's sprinklers.

Never too early to decorate Christmas cookies, right?

I introduced Finn to this board game, that his great-grandpa made for us years ago, and he was a big fan.

Friends for 10 years!

A beautiful sunrise before a busy shift.

I love when my patients bring us treats, especially when it's bagels!

He has been waiting for this book to come out for at least six months, and was so excited when it finally arrived.

Game night with their great grandparents.

Fox was invited to his friend's Halloween party.

They played some fun games there.

Every night before we go to bed, Finn and I read our books together, but on this night he just fell asleep while reading.

Ice cream date after school.

He might be on a sugar high here!

At that wraps up October!

August iPhone dump

A few of my favorite moments from August! Meet the teacher for the boys! I received this picture from Katie's wife, such a sweet bond they have. I'm also loving how his pajamas are inside out...haha. Walter came back to spend a few days with us! We watched him last summer, and the boys kept talking about him, so we were all so excited when his mom asked us to watch him for a few days. Notice Finn pouting. He was upset that Walter "only pays attention to Fox". So many big emotions in such a tiny body. Mr. Cool Guy at his dentist check up and teeth cleaning! I was trying to get some work done in my office, but this guy needed some attention. Finn made a bed for them, so they could sleep together. In the end, no one wanted to sleep there, but he was so happy to cuddle with Walter for a bit. My friend got me some comedy tickets to see "Nurse John", so I invited my two besties, and two of my old classmates, and we had a blast, he was so funny. We even got VIP acc...

May iPhone dump

Some of my favorite moments of May that haven't made it on the blog yet. May has been such an incredible month and I wish I could turn back time and do it all over again. Between graduating from nursing school and all the celebrations that came with that, Fox's 10th birthday, Finn's Kindergarten graduation, and all the sweet little moments in between, it was a month I will never forget.  Kindergarten Homework for this cutie, he is very smart, but hates doing it. This was my favorite view at school, right when you exited the building. This was the place where we met up with friends during breaks, and after every exam, and I wanted to take a picture to remember this special place.  Making paper airplanes has been a new favorite for him. This was two days before I took my final exam, and I probably should've been studying, but having an ice cream date with the boys sounded much more fun. He loves to make us laugh. While Finn and I were getting ready for bed, I asked him to...

Graduation Party

My mother in law Rene' and my friend Allison threw me a graduation brunch the day after I got pinned as a nurse. I love this picture of Patrick. My other (ex) mother in law made this incredible cake for me, she is so talented. My sweet friend Mason. We spent our first year in nursing school together, until he decided to go a different route. We still meet up for brunches and he is also my hairdresser, but I still miss seeing him as much as I used to. It meant a lot to me that he came.  I can't even express how loved I felt on this day. I am one lucky girl to be surrounded by so many amazing friends who have been through it all with me. Ten years of friendship this year! Katie and Christina brought the boys and also attended my party, which I really appreciated. Classmates! I was joking that the next time I will receive this many flowers, it'll be my funeral. I also received so many thoughtful and sweet cards and gifts, I was truly spoiled. It was the perfect ending to an em...
