Finn's 6th Birthday

My baby is six years old!

For his birthday, we had a "yes day"!

After opening some gifts, we had breakfast at his favorite breakfast place, which happens to be my favorite too, so we were both very happy!

We visited Candytopia almost 5 years ago, and the kids kept asking to go back. It finally came back to Scottsdale, so I surprised them with a visit, and they both still loved it.

All the exhibits were made out of candy!

The highlight was the giant marshmallow pit though.

We got some cupcakes at Sprinkles afterwards...

...and ended the day with dinner at Finn's favorite restaurant, where we met up with Katie and Christina.
I think he had a great day, and we are planning to have a kids party for him once school starts up, so we can invite some of his classmates.
It's very bittersweet to see my boys grow up, and there isn't a day that I didn't wish that I could turn back time and do it all over again. Time is fleeting too quickly!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
