January iPhone dump

A quick look at our January!

Nursing Level 2 unlocked...after getting a heated vest, I now also have my personal space heater at work. No one warned me how cold hospitals are...haha!

We watched our friend's dog for a few days and Mr. Finn was in heaven.

He wouldn't let go of poor Nugget and always wanted him to be right with him.

His eyes say "Save me!!!"

Cherishing the times that he will cuddle with me. I know I don't have much time left, and that makes me really sad.

Self-care...reading a book in our hammock while the kids were playing nicely together.

Another downfall of them growing up, is that we now have to order adult meals at the restaurant. I might have to get another job in order to afford these two...haha.

Katie sent me this picture of Finn sleeping with their dog one night.

Sweet things my co-worker leaves for me when I was sick at work...she made me a to-go tissue packet because the box I kept carrying around kept falling out of my fanny pack that I wear at work. And yes, I wear a fanny pack, it's the best thing!

Nights with him are my favorite. We usually go to bed an hour before Fox comes in, and I read while he either draws, or reads, or listens to an audio book.

Finn was so excited that we got to take his classroom hamsters home, he had been waiting for this day since August. There were three of them.

He made little magna tiles cars for them, and a hamster maze.

All three of us dragged our kids to the playground, just so WE can have a playdate together. It was everything my heart needed and more.

My latest obsession are Goodwill treasure hunts. I usually go for books, but on this day I found this brand new toy that sells for $65 on amazon, and I paid $5. I was so excited, and both my kids enjoy playing it.

Finn's new year resolutions, "Ask my mom to give me some hard 5th grade spelling words, like syrup, nauseous, digestive, soap, coat, charters, schedule, narrative, January." This kid cracks me up, he will spell things for us all day and is often better than Fox!

It's always a happy day at work, when one of our doctors brings us treats.

Working on his Valentine's box!

We are arm wrestling in this picture. He has been crazy about working out every night and has a whole set up right next to my bed. He still believes he can beat me, but one day he actually will.
And that wraps up January!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
