November iPhone dump

Another month has passed and I'm falling more and more behind on this blog, but determined to catch up one day. School has been crazy for me, I still love it, but it certainly keeps me very busy.

This was our November!
Finn loves to do all sorts of arts and crafts, and made us approximately 735 Christmas ornaments this year.

In this house, we celebrate half birthdays!

Friendsgiving: Lots of love, lots of good food, lots of laughs, and a whole lot to be thankful for!

Illumination…I admit, I watched their faces more than I watched the actual light show!

Never too early to start on Easter decorations, right?

A lot of my kid free nights were spent like this...cozy in bed, doing school work, and watching some kind of trashy reality show.

I remember the days watching Fox’s preschool class doing sing-along performances and smiling ear to ear because it made me so happy. Those days are long gone, but how lucky am I that I get to do it all over again with Finn now?

He was very serious during the entire performance, and didn't sing along with his classmates.

Playdate with his buddy at our house.

Dinner and drinks with a new friend.

Thanksgiving at Ashlie's house with the entire Jones family. Finn was really into basting the turkey, and worked on it for 15 minutes straight.

He asked me to take his picture, how can I say no to this face?

Decorating our annual gingerbread house!

Every once in a while they will play nicely together.

The kids went ornament shopping with Katie, and brought this one back for me, claiming it looked like an artichoke which is my school mascot. I thought it was so funny, but thoughtful. Also, who came up with having an artichoke for a mascot?!?

Naps don't happen very often anymore, but when they do, it's always in the car.

We rode scooters (and the crazy cart for Fox) at a nearby golf course.

After 8.5 years, Fox was finally willing to learn to ride a bike. He got the hang of it pretty quickly and I loved seeing his confidence, and how proud he was of himself.
Until next month!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
