Halloween weekend

We started our Halloween weekend with a trip to the pumpkin patch, where we met some friends as well.

Finn would've stayed right there all day to play mini golf.

Fox tried out their new tube, but Finn was too scared to try, although I think he would've loved it. Maybe next year.

He had to hug all the goats!

Later that night, the boys and I went to their school's trunk or treat.

It doesn't happen that often, but I love when they play together.

The next night, which was the Saturday before Halloween, we went to the Spooktacular hot air balloon festival. We got there right when they opened, so the boys were able to do a bunch of the slides before it got too crowded and the lines got too long.

We got slushies, had a picnic, and the boys played tag on the lawn for the longest time.

We ran into some friends at the balloon festival, so we joined them for trick or treating at the hot air balloons for a bit, before heading home.

Unfortunately Fox got sick the next day, so he wasn't able to go trick or treating with us on Halloween. Luckily, he didn't seem to mind very much, he had been nervous about "getting lost" during trick or treating and has not been a big fan of crowds lately, so he was pretty happy to stay home while I took Finn to Corinne's house for her annual Halloween party.
Finn and his friend Charlie, those two stuck together the entire night.

I didn't buy myself a costume this year, so I just dressed up as a Grandma (this is actually my Grandma's dress, shoes, and purse...she passed away in 1999).

The candy crew!

I asked Finn if he was having so much fun, and he answered: "No...I'm hungry, my feet hurt, and I want to go home!" Haha.

It was a good weekend with lots of friends and candy of course!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
