February iPhone dump

A look back at our February!

We've had weekly playdates with my friend Marcela, and when she started fostering two puppies, all playdates quickly moved to her house, because Finn was OBSESSED with them.

He asked about them all the time, and didn't want to let them go. Literally smothered them with love.

Their names were Peter and Parker, but he insisted that one of them was Oreo.

He carried one of them around wherever he went and then even asked Marcela if he can take him home.

When they found a permanent home Finn was so sad, and didn't understand why they weren't at Marcela's anymore.

Breakfast with a side of play-doh and a pouty toddler.

My baby niece Aila Rae! I went over to my sister in law's one day to help out with the kids and let Finn play with his cousin, and I was in baby heaven!

Celebrating my dear friend Lindsay's 40th birthday, a much needed night out!

Another day, and more puppy love!

For Christmas, I gave Fox a gift card for Ifly. He had done it once when he was four years old, and loved it just as much this time around.

Quick weekend trip to Vegas! I hadn't been for ten years give or take, so it was fun to be back.

We walked the strip, gambled a little bit, and saw a Cirque de Soleil show, which was my first.

It was amazing!

Finn and I made lots of trips to Butterfly Wonderland.

We didn't do anything special for Valentine's Day, but I always give the boys some little treats and toys, and they were very excited about it.

Fox had a dodgeball tournament at school, and parents were allowed to come watch.

I loved seeing him have so much fun with his classmates, here he is as the last kid standing from his group, he was super proud.

A little before and after DIY project I completed one weekend. I always hated how dark the cabinet was, but I'm not sure I love the white either. What do you think?

Donuts are his love language...haha.

It took us a few days, but when we finished this puzzle, he was super excited about it (even though he doesn't look it in this picture). He's actually really good at puzzles.

Fox and I had a special one on one date and he chose to go to Dave & Busters. We played games, talked, had dinner together, and a lot of fun!

He said this was the best chocolate cake he ever had.

Dinner and Escape the Room with some of my favorites. It was such a great night and I love Escape Rooms!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
