Summer Bucket List

We did a summer bucket list in 2019 and it was a lot of fun, so we decided to do it again this year. What I like about it most, is that it sometimes forces us to get out and do fun things, even when we feel like just staying home. Although, we did a lot of that too this summer. Summers are rough in Arizona and we are just now seeing the end of it and the days are getting nice again, we are all excited for fall!
The boys and I came up with some things we wanted to do this summer, wrote them down and hung them on our garage door as a daily reminder.

Playing in the rain! This was actually in Michigan and Finn still talks about this day. Fox didn't want to have anything to do with the rain.

Travel to Michigan and visit our friend Allison.

Making s'mores!

Making cookies

Ice Cream Date!

Play at Uptown Jungle

Go to Skyzone

Camping with friends...always a favorite!

Visit the aquarium.

Sleepover with a friend (with Jake at the Princess Resort).

Watch fireworks

Swim at night

Go to a water park

Indoor mini golfing

Have a water balloon fight

Have a game night (Finn was already sleeping).

Go to Legoland

Make cookies (again!)

Visit the Natural History Museum

Write cards to friends

Go to the movie theater (we saw Space Jam 2).

Have snow cones.

Go to the splash pad

Play at Kids Empire

Go to the beach
I think the only thing we didn't cross off the list was to have a "yes day". Fox decided that for his yes day, he wanted to go to the Great Wolf Lodge again, so I booked us a stay for a later date.
It was a fun-filled summer, but we are ready for pumpkin patches and Halloween fun!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
