Quarantine Conversation with Fox

Quarantine Conversation with Fox, age 5

1. If you won a million dollars, what would you buy?
Fox: Buy a robot that could do all the chores for you.

2. How long does it take to get to the U.K.?
Fox: What’s a UK?
Me: It’s a country.
Fox: What country?
Me: It’s England.
Fox: One day.

3. What do I always say to you?
Fox: Fox, do school work.

4. What job would you like to do when you grow up?
Fox: Winning trophies every day.

5. What is the capital of America?
Fox: I don’t know...what does that mean?

6. Where do babies come from?
Fox: Mama’s belly

7. At what age do you become an adult?
Fox: 31

8. If you could change one rule your family has, what would it be?
Fox: That I could be the boss in the house. Can it come true? Can it be like boss day Fox?

9. If you could be a superhero, what superpower would you have?
Fox: I already do have a power. Strength.

10. What would you do to save the planet?
Fox: Umm...drive the car all the way to the power mountains and break a rock so the earth could have some of its power back. That must take 500 years to do that and I don’t even know how to drive a car.

11. If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fox: Candy

12. How much does it cost to buy a house?
Fox: How much does it cost? $15,000?

13. Why do you think we should be nice to others?
Fox: Because back in the days there were mean people and some of them were so mean that they could shoot someone. Because we don’t want anyone dying again. (No idea where that came from or what he’s referring to)

14. What does love mean to you?
Fox: It means so much. It means love. It’s like when you really like someone so much that you want to marry them.

15. What are you scared of?
Fox: The thing I’m really scared of is the dark. That’s the only thing I’m afraid of. Because my worries feel like they come true in the dark.

16. What is so important to you?
Fox: You!

17. What makes you happy?
Fox: You!

August iPhone dump

A few of my favorite moments from August! Meet the teacher for the boys! I received this picture from Katie's wife, such a sweet bond they have. I'm also loving how his pajamas are inside out...haha. Walter came back to spend a few days with us! We watched him last summer, and the boys kept talking about him, so we were all so excited when his mom asked us to watch him for a few days. Notice Finn pouting. He was upset that Walter "only pays attention to Fox". So many big emotions in such a tiny body. Mr. Cool Guy at his dentist check up and teeth cleaning! I was trying to get some work done in my office, but this guy needed some attention. Finn made a bed for them, so they could sleep together. In the end, no one wanted to sleep there, but he was so happy to cuddle with Walter for a bit. My friend got me some comedy tickets to see "Nurse John", so I invited my two besties, and two of my old classmates, and we had a blast, he was so funny. We even got VIP acc...

First day of school

This year I have a first and a fifth grader! Aww, he was so tiny in the first picture in Pre-K! Last year of elementary school for this big kid, and Mama is not ready for middle school next year. The boys had a great start to their school year, still taking the bus every day, and while no one is a fan of going to school around here, they seem to like their teachers and classes so far. I'm glad to be getting back to more of a routine for them (and me), because let me just tell you...summer was rough! Haha.

January iPhone dump

A quick look at our January! Nursing Level 2 unlocked...after getting a heated vest, I now also have my personal space heater at work. No one warned me how cold hospitals are...haha! We watched our friend's dog for a few days and Mr. Finn was in heaven. He wouldn't let go of poor Nugget and always wanted him to be right with him. His eyes say "Save me!!!" Cherishing the times that he will cuddle with me. I know I don't have much time left, and that makes me really sad. Self-care...reading a book in our hammock while the kids were playing nicely together. Another downfall of them growing up, is that we now have to order adult meals at the restaurant. I might have to get another job in order to afford these two...haha.  Katie sent me this picture of Finn sleeping with their dog one night.  Sweet things my co-worker leaves for me when I was sick at work...she made me a to-go tissue packet because the box I kept carrying around kept falling out of my fanny pack that I...
