Jingle Hike

Sometimes I come across some of my old pictures and they fill my heart with so much joy, simply because I remember the awesome day we had and who we shared it with. These pictures will definitely be part of that. A few months ago, my friend Becky asked us if she should register us for the Jingle hike. I had never done it before, but one of my other friends had and said it was awesome. This actually took place at the beginning of December...obviously I'm still trying to play catch up!
Before the hike: Fox got his face painted by Santa's elf!

All the big kids were ready to go!

I was a little nervous about hiking with both boys, I had never done it before and didn't know if Finn would stay in his carrier and if Fox would be responsible enough to stay away from the edges. But since two of my friends and their families were there, I had nothing to worry about, because they kept Fox safe while I lugged that 21lbs baby up the hill...it was definitely a workout!

Finn did great in the carrier, but was happy to be free once we reached the platform at the top.

Before we went to the hike, we had our pictures with Santa taken at our photographer's house. And since this Santa didn't look half as nice as the first one we saw that day, us moms had to explain the whole "Santa's helpers" thing to the kids. They bought it...I hope we'll get a few more years of believing out of them!

Fox was so happy, he kept saying "I can't believe how high we are!".

The whole crew!

After the hike we went to the craft station that was set up at the entrance. The kids made some Christmas ornaments and played for another hour.

I already set a reminder to register for next year once registration opens up, since they book out fast!
Such a great day with some of my best friends and my sweet boys!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

August iPhone dump

Some moments from my August... Coffee treats during busy shifts! Fox had a pool playdate with some friends. First day of middle school! Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't send him off that day, but my favorite co-parent came through with some pictures from the bus stop. Found a bunch of these selfies on my phone haha. On the way to school one morning, middle school is rough apparently. A quick brunch with friends to celebrate the end of summer break! My sweet friend Nikki gave me this bucket full of beautiful dresses that she had outgrown. A lot of them still had tags on them! Dinner date with the boys, they preferred playing a game together instead of talking to me...haha! Homework struggles have begun again! Sweet treats after school while we wait for Finn to get off the bus. Unfortunately their buses arrive an hour apart from each other, so we have a lot of waiting around because the bus stop is too far from my house.  He was helping me make schnitzel! We watched Bad guys ...
