July iPhone Dump

I'm glad I take so many pictures, because if you would ask me what we did in July, I wouldn't remember much of it. So let's see what we did...
Fox hates going to the movie theater. You basically have to drag him there. I really wanted to see the Toy Story movie, but he only agreed to go if we invited his friend Dylan. Of course he loved it and had a blast...keeping up with Finn during the movie was a little harder, but he took a little nap on me and that was heavenly. It was probably the last time for a couple of years that I will take him to the movies.

We invited two of my friend's kids over one morning, since she had to work. The boys were crazy as usual, but played so well together.

He loves to sleep in my bed and sometimes I let him.

And some mornings look like this. I know a lot of people don't agree with this, but that's okay. They won't want to sleep with me forever.

We had a playdate with Fox's friend at a play place.

I think Finn had more fun than Fox!

It's so nice that they can take baths together now and they both love it.

One of our favorite birthday parties every year: Jake's Pool Party!

The Birthday Boy!

I got my bedroom painted and the fumes were really strong in there, so I slept on the couch. Of course Fox wanted to sleep on the couch as well when he heard about my plan. This is how I found him in the morning.

We usually always have a fort set up in the kitchen/living room. He was trying to sleep in there when I took this picture, but then decided that his bed was a little more comfortable.

I looked through my pictures the other day and found this and 47 others that Fox must have taken of me and Finn. He's all about taking pictures with my phone these days and it's always a surprise what you'll find.

I love our sunsets here.

I don't think I talked about this before, but I started teaching DIY seminars at the Home Shows that I used to work for. It's an hour each day (3 days) and the attendees get to make a free doormat with me. I really love doing it and it's been very popular and the attendees seem to be having fun. This was the second time I did this and I was invited back to do the October Show as well.

Here are some of the door mats the attendees made. There's room for 30 people per day.

My in-laws watched the boys while I was at the seminar and we went to a late lunch after I came back.

I miss these people so much. We used to get together with them multiple times a month, but of course things have changed since the separation. This has been definitely one of the hardest parts for me, I not only lost my wife, I also lost the only family I have here.

Not sure if he's loving on him or choking him, but Finn seems to love it.

Last picture before this big boy turned one!

Another fun afternoon with Kristy and Jake.

Brunch with my girls!
