April iPhone Dump

My monthly phone picture dump is one of my favorites, because it forces me to look back at all the pictures I took that month. A lot of time I snap pictures in the moment and then I never go back to look at them until I start writing this blog, and it's always a great reminder of all the fun we had.
We met one of Fox's friend at Skyzone one afternoon. I remember he told me that he didn't want to go there when we pulled up and then I couldn't get him out after our time was up.

I was so proud of him when he mastered this rope ladder!

Some mornings look like this. And in case you're wondering...no, I don't get any sleep if they all sleep with me.

This hummingbird built himself a nest right on top of our string of outdoor lights. So cute!

You know you have great friends when they pick oranges from their yard just for you and drop them off at your front door - just because.

Aunt Ashlie took Fox to his "Daddy and me" pajama party at school. He insisted on wearing his unicorn hat, which he calls his "sleeping hat" and I heard he had a lot of fun "shaving" her. She's such a good sport!

Totally random, but I discovered another bird nest on our house and this bird wasn't scared at all when I got close to take a picture.

One morning, I took Fox on a solo outing to a birthday party at the park while Katie was with Finn. While it doesn't phase me at all to take out two kids by myself, it felt like a vacation and soooo easy to just have one big kid with me.

Days that include cupcakes are always his favorite days.

My big kid

I took the boys to Home Depot one morning and I can't decide who loved this cart more. Finn loved having his own steering wheel and Fox loved that he could sit next to his brother.

That's his pirate face...haha.

I asked him to get dressed one morning and this is how he came back. He was so proud and confident, love that!

He's been into board games again lately, which is one of my favorite things to do, so I'm one happy Mama!

His school friend came over one morning to play. I feel like I'm always begging my friends to just drop off their kids with me, so Fox has someone to play with, which makes my day so much easier. The boys played for hours, the house was destroyed after, but I didn't even care, they had so much fun!

My friend Corinne invited us and some other friends over to swim in their pool. Such a fun afternoon!

Cuddles with my sweet boy. He immediately smiled when I flipped my camera over to selfie mode.

I never used to take selfies, but I guess this is my new life now if I want any pictures with my kids.

We met some of Fox's school friends at the splash pad one afternoon. As soon as we got there, it started to rain, but the kids weren't phased at all. They had a cute little outdoor restaurant right next to the splash pad, so us moms had an early dinner, while the kids played (they ate too, but were more interested in playing with each other!).

I took the boys to the Circus for the very first time. This is a Circus without animals, otherwise I wouldn't have taken them.

He was so excited to be there!

Another first: He has never gotten his full face painted before and this was his expression when he saw himself in the mirror! Totally worth the $10 it cost, right?

He was super proud and kept asking me to show him his face in my camera so he could see himself.

He's not a fan of taking pictures, but he was all about it on this day!

First time eating spaghetti for this guy. He liked playing with it, but didn't eat much.

This was definitely the month of a lot of firsts. In this case, Fox's first sleepover with a friend!

We played, ate, did sparklers and built a fort.

The boys wanted to sleep in their fort and I wasn't sure if Matthew would sleep in there, but they did so great! Well, besides the fact that they tried to sneak out to get popsicles in the middle of the night...haha.

Passed out!
They both loved having a sleepover with each other and are already planning the next one.

It always cracks me up when I check on him one last time before bed and this is how I find him.

Ladies Brunch...always a blast!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
