Fox & Finn's First Meeting

On August 2nd, when Finn was two days old, Fox visited us at the hospital to meet his little brother. I knew I wanted that moment captured and not having to be the one that captures it, so I hired a photographer for a "Fresh 48" session.

This is going to be a picture heavy post, but I want to be able to always remember those sweet first moments as a family of four.

I had absolutely no idea how he would react. He was so excited during my pregnancy to meet his baby, but I figured he would be super shy in the hospital setting.

He quickly realized that Finn wasn't doing anything but sleeping, so he resorted to decorating the whiteboard in my room.

We got some Big Brother/ Little Brother gifts for the boys. Fox picked out a pineapple teether for Finn at Target and we got Fox some legos and a new book. He was probably more excited about the presents than his new sibling...ha!

This right here is my heaven...a sleeping newborn on my chest!

Fox is probably thinking: "Dang, that kid is still sleeping...can he do anything else?"

I love the memories the photographer captured and I will always treasure these pictures!

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha. Book Club! July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do. Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
