34 weeks pregnancy update

July 4, 2018
How far along:
34 weeks

Baby is the size of a:
Cantaloupe or a Basketball Hoop

Total weight gain:
Somehow I lost two pounds this week, I’m up 34lbs total. Maybe I can stay under 40lbs weight gain this pregnancy.

Maternity Clothes?
All the way.

Stretch Marks?
No

Sleep?
It’s okay. Some nights are painful, others are okay.

Best moment of the Week:
We had a good weekend and I even got to go out with my friends twice! Katie and I were also in total nesting mode and got a lot of stuff done around the house and purged like crazy.

Movement:
Still constantly. He is sitting in the exact spot Fox used to sit in and hurting the same areas on my back and rib cage, just on one side though.

Food Cravings:
Nothing unusual.

Belly Button in or out:
Flattening out

Gender:
Sweet baby boy!

Symptoms:
Backaches, Rib Pains, getting out of breath, Braxton hicks contractions, exhaustion. While I’m ready to not be pregnant anymore, it makes me super sad to think that these are the last few weeks of me EVER being pregnant. I will never have this belly again…! I’m sure it gets even more emotional when the baby is growing up and to think I will never have a newborn again, never experience certain things again…oh boy!

Anything Making you queasy or Sick?
Nothing.

Have you Started to Show yet?
Yes

What I miss:
Sleeping comfortably and I can’t get over wanting an ice cold coke.

What I'm looking forward to:
Nothing in particular. We have a CPR class scheduled this week, another doctor’s appointment (although it’s just with a nurse since my doctor is out of town, so I won’t get an ultrasound) and another set of maternity pictures (something completely different that I have never done before, it’s just a mini session…stay tuned).

What I'm not looking forward to:
Sleepless nights. I’m actually terrified just thinking about it. I hope we’ll have a good sleeper!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
