33 weeks pregnancy update

June 27, 2018

How far along:
33 weeks

Baby is the size of a:
Pineapple or a Junior Tennis Racquet. He was 4lbs, 2oz this week when I saw the doctor!

Total weight gain:
36 lbs

Maternity Clothes?
My maternity pants are getting a little uncomfortable already, but luckily I have a few dresses that I rotate.

Stretch Marks?
Haven’t noticed any yet.

Sleep?
Could be better, could be worse. I’m not complaining.

Best moment of the Week:
Katie and I had a date night and saw Jurassic World, I don’t even remember the last time we saw a movie in the theater together!

Movement:
The doctor said the area where I feel a body part pushing out, is the baby’s heel. Some kicks are definitely hurtful, but I was in much more pain with Fox. When we watched him on the ultrasound this week, the doctor said he was very expressive with his face, we saw him “chatting” and yawning and blinking.

Food Cravings:
Nothing ever sounds good to me, I ate a lot of pasta and cereal lately.

Belly Button in or out:
Flattening out

Gender:
Sweet baby boy!

Symptoms:
Backaches and Rib pains, especially while driving and sitting down at work. Getting out of breath to the point that I feel like I’m hyperventilating and bending down is getting very painful as well. Emotionally I’m feeling much better, although I feel like I have very low patience these days.

Anything Making you queasy or Sick?
Nothing.

Have you Started to Show yet?
I’m not sure how I will fit six more weeks of growth in this belly?

What I miss:
Just being comfortable and sleeping on my back or stomach. I still want that ice cold coke too…haha.

What I'm looking forward to:
We have a fun weekend ahead, two brunches with friends (one of them being a baby shower for my sweet friend who is due three weeks after me) and a birthday party for one of Fox’s friend.

What I'm not looking forward to:
Sleepless nights.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
