Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 52

Day 358

Fox had a buddy over to play and after being sick and couped up in the house for the last week, he was so excited to play with someone other than us!

Day 359

Fox and I went to the candlelight service on Christmas Eve and they gave him a glow stick instead of a candle. He was mesmerized by the singing and every time they would finish a song, he would stuff that little glow stick in between his legs as fast as he could so he could clap. It was so cute to watch and the service was beautiful, it was my favorite part of the day.

Day 360

Day 361

Fox was very surprised that Santa wasn't at his usual spot in the mall when he went to the play place with Hannah.

Day 362

Katie sent me this picture while I was grocery shopping to make me jealous that she got Fox cuddles. I'm sure the cuddles lasted all of 5 seconds before he was over it, based on his face...ha!

Day 363

When I got home from work, Fox told me he wanted to take a walk with me. So we walked and walked and walked until 1.5hrs later we finally made it around the block! (There were a lot of rocks to inspect and sticks to collect)

😂He climbed on this rock and told me to take his picture...ha! This was one of those days I will remember for the rest of my life, no matter how uneventful it was, and I'm so grateful to have a boss that makes these afternoons possible for me!

Day 364

When Katie got a pedicure, Fox requested that she get green nails (his favorite color), so when she came back to show him, he said he wanted green nails too! While we didn't have green nail polish, he settled for black and was so excited and proud that he got his nails painted for the first time.

Day 365

Patrick came into the office and everyone thought it was Robert and ran over to give him a group hug. Robert HATES hugs, but Patrick loved it apparently!

Day 366

We had an impromptu New Year's Eve celebration with some friends! It was fun catching up with these ladies and Fox had a blast playing with his friends.

August iPhone dump

A few of my favorite moments from August! Meet the teacher for the boys! I received this picture from Katie's wife, such a sweet bond they have. I'm also loving how his pajamas are inside out...haha. Walter came back to spend a few days with us! We watched him last summer, and the boys kept talking about him, so we were all so excited when his mom asked us to watch him for a few days. Notice Finn pouting. He was upset that Walter "only pays attention to Fox". So many big emotions in such a tiny body. Mr. Cool Guy at his dentist check up and teeth cleaning! I was trying to get some work done in my office, but this guy needed some attention. Finn made a bed for them, so they could sleep together. In the end, no one wanted to sleep there, but he was so happy to cuddle with Walter for a bit. My friend got me some comedy tickets to see "Nurse John", so I invited my two besties, and two of my old classmates, and we had a blast, he was so funny. We even got VIP acc...

January iPhone dump

A quick look at our January! Nursing Level 2 unlocked...after getting a heated vest, I now also have my personal space heater at work. No one warned me how cold hospitals are...haha! We watched our friend's dog for a few days and Mr. Finn was in heaven. He wouldn't let go of poor Nugget and always wanted him to be right with him. His eyes say "Save me!!!" Cherishing the times that he will cuddle with me. I know I don't have much time left, and that makes me really sad. Self-care...reading a book in our hammock while the kids were playing nicely together. Another downfall of them growing up, is that we now have to order adult meals at the restaurant. I might have to get another job in order to afford these two...haha. Katie sent me this picture of Finn sleeping with their dog one night. First day of school

This year I have a first and a fifth grader! Aww, he was so tiny in the first picture in Pre-K! Last year of elementary school for this big kid, and Mama is not ready for middle school next year. The boys had a great start to their school year, still taking the bus every day, and while no one is a fan of going to school around here, they seem to like their teachers and classes so far. I'm glad to be getting back to more of a routine for them (and me), because let me just tell you...summer was rough! Haha.
