Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2016: Week 44

Day 302

We got free tickets to the Halloween Ballon Festival and it was such a fun night! They had like 50 bounce houses and slides for kids and about 20 hot air balloons that gave out candy. Fox rode in a hot air balloon for the first time (it was tethered to the ground and went about 50 feet up in the air) and had the time of his life running around from bounce house to bounce house. We stayed up way past his bedtime and even got to watch the fireworks (also a first for him).

Day 303

We had a Halloween Party with our friends at the Park and it was incredibly hot that we didn't put him in his costume. Fun Afternoon!

Day 304

We took him to the new Aquarium, which was also a lot of fun!

Day 305

Trick or Treat! Fox decided that he wanted to wear his "Catboy" costume for Trick or Treating and seeing him run from house to house, saying "Trick or Treat" and collecting his Candy was seriously so cute! All of his grandparents and Hannah joined us as well. Obviously he couldn't eat most of the candy he got, because it had dairy in it, so we let him have one lollipop and asked him if he wanted to trade the rest of it for a small present, so that's what he did and it worked out great. He also loved handing out the candy to the kids who came to our house!

Day 306

Day 307

His first time (since he was a baby) at Benihana and he was mesmerized by the chef cooking the food for about 2 minutes. Ha!

Day 308

Finally a rainy day! We ran around in the rain and played outside! I think we survived the summer and it'll get cooler from now on!

August iPhone dump

A few of my favorite moments from August! Meet the teacher for the boys! I received this picture from Katie's wife, such a sweet bond they have. I'm also loving how his pajamas are inside out...haha. Walter came back to spend a few days with us! We watched him last summer, and the boys kept talking about him, so we were all so excited when his mom asked us to watch him for a few days. Notice Finn pouting. He was upset that Walter "only pays attention to Fox". So many big emotions in such a tiny body. Mr. Cool Guy at his dentist check up and teeth cleaning! I was trying to get some work done in my office, but this guy needed some attention. Finn made a bed for them, so they could sleep together. In the end, no one wanted to sleep there, but he was so happy to cuddle with Walter for a bit. My friend got me some comedy tickets to see "Nurse John", so I invited my two besties, and two of my old classmates, and we had a blast, he was so funny. We even got VIP acc...

First day of school

This year I have a first and a fifth grader! Aww, he was so tiny in the first picture in Pre-K! Last year of elementary school for this big kid, and Mama is not ready for middle school next year. The boys had a great start to their school year, still taking the bus every day, and while no one is a fan of going to school around here, they seem to like their teachers and classes so far. I'm glad to be getting back to more of a routine for them (and me), because let me just tell you...summer was rough! Haha.

January iPhone dump

A quick look at our January! Nursing Level 2 unlocked...after getting a heated vest, I now also have my personal space heater at work. No one warned me how cold hospitals are...haha! We watched our friend's dog for a few days and Mr. Finn was in heaven. He wouldn't let go of poor Nugget and always wanted him to be right with him. His eyes say "Save me!!!" Cherishing the times that he will cuddle with me. I know I don't have much time left, and that makes me really sad. Self-care...reading a book in our hammock while the kids were playing nicely together. Another downfall of them growing up, is that we now have to order adult meals at the restaurant. I might have to get another job in order to afford these two...haha. Katie sent me this picture of Finn sleeping with their dog one night.
