Pumpkin Patch Fun

Pumpkin Patches always hold a very special meaning to me. For years, when I wanted to have a baby, and then when we tried to have a baby, I imagined our little family at a pumpkin patch. It's just one of those things that you don't really get to do when you don't have kids (I guess some people do, but I just didn't see the sense in it for me).

Last year, we went to three pumpkin patches, but Fox was still so little that he couldn't do anything, but this year was a whole another story. He had a blast!
Playing in the corn box

This is his new face, whenever he says "woow" (which he does a lot!)

Matthias' family is visiting from Denmark and joined us!

Katie's parents joined us as well!

Going up the big kid slide with Matthias, if we would've let him, he would've gone up and down 153 times!

Grandpa Steve was very happy to lug all of our stuff around...haha

Fox is all about jumping these days, look at his determined little face!

You might remember Frida, Matthias' little sister. She's Fox's first love. He was so upset when she left in June and we didn't think he would remember her, but oh my, were we wrong! He follows her around everywhere she goes, he checks her room constantly, whenever she is not home (to see if she is back) and he gets so giddy and excited whenever she's around! We are already sad that she's leaving in a few days.

My love!

Picking out the perfect pumpkin!

We had such a fun day and my heart was just exploding the entire time! I love this kid and getting to experience all of these things with him for the first time!

  3. I'm catching up here and just read through 3 pumpkin patch posts, lol! You really do love visiting them and I totally get it! There is nothing cuter than little ones running around on the farm. :)

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
