Fox | 16 Month Pictures

Whenever I put the monthly backdrop for his pictures up, Fox comes running over and sits down immediately. I trained him well! ;) Some other random pictures from his 16th month!    We found this "Sit and Spin" for $2.50 at Goodwill, which is funny, because we had just talked about getting one a day prior. He was pretty good doing it himself for the first few days, but now, all he wants to do is to sit on the top handle part or walk on the spinning part.  We've been taking Fox to the trampoline park a couple of times and he's having a lot of fun there!   Foam Pit   Trying to keep up with the big kids!

Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2015: Week 38

Day 260 We spent the afternoon at Gymboree Open Play! How handsome is this little guy? Day 261   I had a really rough week and going out with some of my "old" friends was just what I needed that night. Catching up, laughing until we were crying and five hours later I left like a new person!  Day 262   Aunt Ashlie took Fox to the toy store and this is what happened! It was like Christmas Day at out house! Fox loves this little train, but he sure is spoiled! Day 263   We went to the Science Center, since they had free admission weekend, but it was way too crowded and he was still way too little for it! Day 264   Matthias and Fox, they sure have a special bond!  Day 265   I took Fox to the park after work and he had so much fun! We took his Radio Flyer wagon (the park is like 10 minutes from our house) and he loves riding in it. I can't wait for cooler temps and getting out more! Day 266  ...

Fox | 16 Month Update

Weight: Will find out at his 18 month appointment! Height: Will find out at his 18 month appointment!   Health: We thought he had a cold a few times this month, because his nose was running like crazy a few random days, but I think it was just due to teething, because he was fine otherwise. Nicknames: Big Honey, Bubba, Turkey, Schatzi, Bubbles, Mr. Fox, Foxy, Pumpkin, Poodle   Eating: It’s getting better and he’s eating and trying more foods than before, but I would still consider him picky. His favorites this month were fish sticks, chicken, blueberries, apple sauce, yoghurt, bananas, smoothies, strawberries, kiwi, Carmela’s Chicken (it’s a Pasta Dish we get at Macaroni Grill and the kid is obsessed), grapes   Teething: He cut four more teeth this month, poor guy! One of those four is still trying to make its way fully through, but the other three have made it and Fox has now an (almost) full mouth of teeth. 16 total…whoaza! Sleeping: Besides a ...

Fox, Katie & Nadine in 2015: Week 37

Day 253 Bunco Night with the Girls! The theme was Electric Dance Music and we even had a DJ! It was such a fun night and Katie won the Dollar Game we play after Bunco and won like $45!    Day 254   Here we go...Boys will be Boys! Fox thinks it's hilarious to put his finger in his nose!  Day 255   I don't know why, but this boy loves to play hide and seek in the shower. Day 256   We went to the aquarium with Katie's parents and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe afterwards. Fox loved all the animals but was terrified of the monkeys!   Day 257   We are ready for fall! Even though it's still 100 degrees out, we are ready for pumpkins, trick or treating and Halloween decorations! Day 258   They are my world! Day 259  If you've been reading this blog for a while, you might remember that I used to sell wreaths on etsy. Well, after I had Fox and life got busy, I put that on the back bur...

Sea Life Aquarium

We have a membership to the Aquarium, so we go fairly often. Last weekend, we invited Katie's parents to join us for a "Behind the scenes tour". Our tour guide gave Fox some Octopus eggs to hold and he didn't want to give them up anymore! Holding some shark jaws Whale Baleen Showing grandma around Our little marine biologist We are so blessed to have so many involved grandparents in Fox's life. You can really tell how much they enjoy spending time with him and how much they love him (and vice versa). Although the aquarium is pretty small, we love it there and so does Fox. Next summer, a huge aquarium is going to open about 20 minutes from our house and we already got our Lifetime Season Passes and can't wait to check it out next year.

Splash Pad Fun!

There's a really cute little park about five minutes from our house that also has a splash pad. Since it's pretty hidden, it's never really busy like the other splash pads we've been to, so Fox and I took advantage of my afternoon off and went to play for a little while.  It's still over 100 degrees most days, which you can see in Fox's red face! He does love being outside though and always stands by our patio door, begging to go out.  The last few times I took him to a splash pad, he never had any interest in even touching the water whatsoever, which is why I didn't put him in his swim clothes when we went Turns out, that was a huge mistake! He was all over it!  So much fun! He kept putting his head in the stream, which is funny, because he doesn't really like it in the shower! He was soaked in the end, but it was so worth it, and luckily I had a spare outfit in the car!
