Week 37

April 19th, 2014

How far along:
37 weeks!

Baby is the size of a:
Bunch of Swiss chard

Total weight gain:
32+ lbs

Maternity Clothes?
Growing out of some maternity shirts!

Stretch Marks?
No.

Sleep?
Painful and non-existent.

Best moment of the Week:
Seeing him on the ultrasound screen! The doctor estimates him to be 6lbs, 4oz right now.

Movement:
He’s been constantly kicking me in the ribs and you can see and feel him pressing out his body parts! We’ve also experienced him having hiccups a few times this week, which we’ve never felt before!

Food Cravings:
Smoothies and Chocolate Milk.

Belly Button in or out:
In.

Gender:
Sweet baby boy!

Symptoms:
Same as last week. The pain in my stomach is actually getting unbearable at times and I can’t imagine feeling this way for another three weeks. Working is getting hard, but so is standing, sitting or laying down...I’m just miserable. Our doctor still insists that it’s just a stretched muscle.

He also told us during our last appointment that I was having contractions, which I’ve been feeling as well, but they are a walk in the park compared to the ripping/stabbing pains in my stomach. He hasn’t dropped yet and I’m not dialated either, so we’ll check on any progress with weekly appointments from now on.

Anything Making you queasy or Sick?
No.

Have you Started to Show yet?
Still getting bigger!

What I miss:
Not being in pain and sleep.

What I'm looking forward to:
Meeting our little boy soon!

What I'm not looking forward to:
More pain and more sleepless nights.

Weekly Wisdom:
One day at a time.

Wie weit:
37 Wochen!

Baby ist so gross wie ein:
Mangold

Insgesamte Gewichtszunahme:
14,5+ kg

Umstandskleidung?

Nein.

Kann man dir die Schwangerschaft ansehen?
Der Bauch waechst und waechst.

Was ich vermisse:
Schlaf und keine Schmerzen zu haben.

Worauf ich mich freue:
Unser Baby bald kennenzulernen!

Worauf ich mich nicht freue:
Mehr Schmerzen und mehr schlaflose Naechte.

Wöchentliche Weisheit:
Ein Tag nach dem anderen.

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
