Katie & Nadine in 2014: Week 17

Day 113
Non-Stress-Test at the doctor's office

Non-Stress-Test beim Arzt

Day 114
We have some steps that go down to our fireplace area in the living room. The previous owner of our house left us a giant childproof gate and we decided to put it up, so we can have a dog-proof area for our baby swing and pack n' play for the next few months!

Day 115
This is how I spend every day after work these days...I've been so tired!

So verbringe ich jeden Abend nach der Arbeit...ich bin so muede!

Day 116
Family Dinner at our house

Familienessen bei uns zuhause

Day 117
Our bags for the hospital are semi-ready, just have to grab all of the last minute things when labor starts! The box next to the car seat is our Cordblood Kit (click here for more info on cordblood banking).

Day 118
I know he won't be using this bathroom for a long time, but we started decorating it anyway! We already had fish light switch covers in there and got a bunch of whale themed bath accessories at our baby shower, so we decided to stick with the theme. We got a shower curtain, the bathmat, a soap dispenser, trash can and new towels.

Day 119
38 weeks (and 4 days) pregnant!

38 Wochen (und 4 Tage) schwanger!

  1. What's the big white thing in your hospital suitcase?

Mine are still only semi packed, I haven't got any going home clothes for myself yet..
    (39+4, still hanging in there)

    1. It's a picture frame that we got as a gift. You can put the baby's hand and foot prints on it and the hospital said to bring everything, because they will do it there! And the big white thing next to my suitcase is my pillow! I'm still struggling with the going home clothes for myself as well, I don't know if I should back maternity clothes or just really big regular clothes. If all fails, I just go home in yoga pants. :)

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
