Katie & Nadine in 2014: Week 8

Day 50
Another Doctor's Appointment where we got to see our boo! My favorite days! The office has a huge flatscreen on the wall across from me, which is awesome!

Ein weiterer Arzttermin, wo wir unseren kleinen Mann bewundern konnten! Ich liebe solche Tage! Die Arztpraxis hat einen riesigen Flachbildschirm an der Wand gegenueber von mir haengen, was super ist!

Day 51
Getting a bunch of Etsy Orders in the mail.

Ein paar meiner Etsy Bestellungen haben es zum Briefkasten geschafft.

Day 52
Dinner with Katie's brother and stepmom. Cosie LOVES his grandma Sandie!

Abendessen mit Katie's Bruder und Stiefmutter. Cosie LIEBT seine Oma Sandie!

Day 53
Another free baby class at Babies R Us, this one was called "Baby Basics" and we liked it a lot. Tomorrow we're attending another class about Babyproofing your house!

Ein weiterer kostenloser Babykurs bei Babies R Us, dieser nannte sich "Baby Grundlagen" und wir mochten ihn sehr. Morgen gehen wir zu einem Kurs, der darum geht, sein Haus kindersicher zu machen.

Day 54
Sunday afternoon walk with our dudes.

Ein Spaziergang mit unseren "Jungs" am Sonntag Nachmittag.

Day 55
29 weeks (and 3 days) pregnant!

29 Wochen (und 3 Tage) schwanger!

Day 56
Getting our paperwork to do taxes in order...ugh! I couldn't believe how many medical receipts we accumulated in the last year. I mean, I knew we spent a lot of money on making our little miracle, but when I saw that my bills alone came to $45,000, I almost fainted. Worth every penny and more!

  1. Wow, $45000-while I'm sure you'll say it was more than worth it, I hope most of that was covered by your insurance!

I have just added up our clinic bills and for one IUI it came to a total of £2535/$4250(all paid out of pocket), so only a fraction of your treatment costs....

    1. Unfortunately, that was all out of pocket. Insurance didn't cover any of it. I miss the german health system! :)

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
