Christmas 2012

Is it just me or did this Christmas season feel way shorter than usual? We had a great Christmas week. For the first time, we were able to celebrate the holidays with both sides of Katie’s family and we were so grateful about it. Katie’s family from Utah came down to see us on Saturday morning and we got to spend the entire weekend with them. As in the usual Jones tradition, we went to play Mini-golf, ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory, played games and argued a whole lot. We also drove around to see Christmas lights, which might just be my favorite Christmas tradition ever.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

You probably know by now that I'm crazy about the holidays and I've been enjoying every minute of it. I realized today that it's less than two weeks until Christmas and I wish I could leave my decorations up until February. You know what? Maybe I will. :) I didn't realize how many Christmas decorations we bought at Goodwill over the last year until I opened all of the boxes in my garage...just to realize that our house is way too small to host them all.  You might have seen many of them last year, so I'll spare you with the same pictures ( here's the link for last year's post ), but we added a few things around the house. My grandpa built this nativity house (below) for me before he passed away last March and it's so incredibly special to me. It's my most favorite thing and it makes me happy every time I see it. Mir fiel heute e...

Thanksgiving Cruise

Katie's amazing family gave us a family vacation for Christmas last year. We decided we wanted to take a Caribbean Cruise over Thanksgiving week and I was very excited to go. We started the trip in Fort Lauderdale, where we spent the first night and had the most gorgeous room with beautiful views. We cruised with Royal Caribbean and our ship is currently the largest cruise ship in the world. They had everything: an Ice Rink, two Rock Climbing Walls, an Outdoor Amphitheater, a Casino, a gym, dozens of restaurants, bars and shops, an Outdoor Area with lots of trees, etc. that was supposed to be Central Park, a Pier with a Car...
