Full House and a Busy Weekend!

Two weekends ago we had a full house. And by full I don't mean the three adults and two huge dogs that live in this tiny house already, I mean FULL.
Katie's parents were on vacation and we had the pleasure to spend some time with Christian. I just love having him around, although I know he probably thinks it's a borefest at our house and I don't even blame him.
We also had two of their dogs over and Katie's sister joined us for the weekend as well.
Cosie got all dressed up for the occasion!

Please....don't even feel bad for him, I totally think he's diggin it!

The weekend was a busy one and I love busy weekends, if they don't include any type of cleaning for me!

I had committed to babysit for two different families that weekend, which is always a blast for me anyway.
Since our next Home Show was only one short week away, I also had to work a little from home, but luckily I breezed right through it and could join Katie and her sister Ashlie on the apartment hunt. Ashlie is moving back to Phoenix and although it was blazing hot outside, we had fun looking at all of the different apartments. I guess my favorite part was all of the free candy and popsicles that we got at every apartment!

Saturday night I met Katie's biological dad and halfbrother, who live in Reno, NV, for the first time. We all went to dinner and had an awesome time.
Afterwards we played Super Mario Brothers and Mario Cart with everyone, which was so much fun!

Sunday we went out to lunch with Christian. I asked him what his favorite restaurant was and was surprised when he picked the one I really wanted to go to that weekend, only to find out later that he only chose that place because he knew I liked it. How sweet is he?

Later, we went on another successful couponing trip and brought back some dog ice cream, the dudes (as we call them) LOVED it, they totally went crazy for it...thanks for the tip Alex!

Look at his crossed eyes and "milk mustache"!
Life is good!
Ich liebe mein Leben!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
