Weekend Bliss

Weekends are usually very busy for us. Shopping, Cleaning, Errands and trying to knock some things off my never ending To-Do List. This weekend was not much different, but to be honest, if it was any different I would not be able to enjoy it. I just love getting things done, call me crazy.
We started by bringing Katie's Car to get serviced, followed by a visit to Costco (looove that place!), Carwash for me and an early lunch, where I got this disgusting Diet Coke (see picture below german version):

Seriously? Lemon Crap on the sides of the glass and FOUR floating leaves that could not be identified? What the heck? How can you not see all this when you fill the glass? Although it was pretty gross and we complained, we did crack up a lot over it.
After lunch we went to another one of my favorites: Target (who doesn't love Target?), where I scored these Halloween Salt and Pepper Shakers for $5 (picture again below under german version):

Wirklich? Was zum Teufel?
I'm looking forward to dig out all of our Halloween decorations and adding some things to our small collection.

At home I had to work for a few hours and Cosie kept me company...he actually tried to lay his head on the keyboard!

The night ended with Dinner at Macaroni Grill and a movie with Katie's Mom. We watched "Easy A" and although I thought it would be a stupid Highschool Movie, it was the funniest movie I've seen all year. I laughed so hard that I cried, it was dang funny. Love this part of the movie (totally see myself doing this when no one is watching:)):

Today we went to the Women's Expo where we saw Kirstie Alley. We love her show and it was pretty fun.

And after we were finished cleaning the house, I made Mushroom Risotto, which turned out great.

Now, it's time to relax and watch some of my favorite Shows. Busy week ahead of me... but what a great weekend!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
