Lady Gaga!

Pictures were taken with a cell phone and unfortunately grainy.
"I created the Monster Ball so my fans would have a place to go. Tonight and every night after you can be whoever you want to be."

Last weekend, Katie dragged me to the Lady Gaga Concert. I knew it was coming for months and I was so not looking forward to it, since "I don't like her" as I stated for weeks and weeks.
Alright, I admit it, this was the best concert I have EVER seen and I have been talking about it ever since. It was awesome. Incredible. No words will ever do its justice.
The "people watching" before the concert was an event by itself. People dressed up as Lady Gaga in her different costumes and with wigs were everywhere, in fact I not only felt out of place but also totally underdressed in my boring jeans and t-shirt. I was surprised by the amount of children that attended the concert as well, there was this sweet 6-year old sitting right in front of me and she was wearing this pink glitter dress, make-up and had sprayed her hair pink, she was too cute. She was so excited and was dancing her little heart out with her mom, it was so sweet to watch.
The atmosphere at the concert was intense. Thousands of screaming fans, when Lady Gaga finally entered the stage, the crowd went nuts. I get goose bumps every time, there is nothing like it.
Although I didn't know all of her songs, I liked the music, the Show was better than anyone could ever imagine and most of all, I liked her. She spoke from her heart and it got very emotional at times, when she spoke about about political issues, religion, her past and her fans:
"I created the Monster Ball so my fans would have a place to go. Tonight and every night after you can be whoever you want to be."
Thank you Katie for dragging me to the concert and giving me this unforgettable experience...I enjoyed every minute of it!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
