Halloween

Some 2025 Halloween Memories! We went to Finn's elementary school's trunk or treat, and Fox was able to meet up with some of his friends there as well, even though they are all in middle school now. The boys didn't want to pick out any new costumes this year (I was shocked), but instead picked costumes from previous years, which probably saved me $100...I'll take it! Fox actually decided to stay with Katie this year to hand out candy at her house, but Finn came with me to my friend Corinne's house, where we have been spending every Halloween since he was a baby.  This year's candy crew! These two had so much fun together! And I got to have fun with my friends! It was a beautiful night, and I'm so grateful for all the fun we had.

Pumpkin Patch Time

I hate to admit this to myself, but I think this might have been our last visit to the pumpkin patch. It was another very hot day, Fox constantly gets allergy attacks with all the hay and dust, and I don't think either of them necessarily enjoyed it this year. We did meet up with a bunch of friends like we have in previous years, which definitely made it more fun for everyone. Trying to cool off with some shaved ice. It was like herding sheep, between all the different moms, and kids, everyone had different needs, wanted to eat different things, had to go to the bathroom, wanted to do different activities, and it took HOURS until we rallied everyone up to get into the corn maze. It was exhausting!  But here we are, you can see Finn's grumpy face in this picture, and while Fox was smiling, he was absolutely hating life at this moment haha. Annual maze picture with my besties! If this was indeed our last trip to the pumpkin patch, I know I will be very sad this coming October. Ta...

Great Wolf Lodge

I asked the boys where they wanted to go for fall break, anywhere in the United States, and I even offered up Germany, and where did they want to go...our local Great Wolf Lodge that we've been too dozens of times.  We invited one of Fox's best friends Jake to join us. Finn still loved the lazy river and we did many laps in it. While I miss having small babies or toddlers, it's also nice to be able to let the big kids have fun by themselves without having to constantly worry about them.  Finn even ran into one of his school friends, and those two had a blast together. It made me so happy to see him have fun with a friend as well, since Fox was allowed to bring one, and he wasn't. Since it was during the month of October, they had some trick or treating set up for the kids outside, so we did that, and then ordered some pizza to take to the room. The kids had been asking for this suite every single time we went to the Lodge, but I'm usually to frugal to splurge that k...
