Finn | Week 3

Finn is three weeks old!
I'm already catching myself wanting to freeze time so badly, because I don't want this little guy to grow up. I just love the newborn/baby stage!

Finn on the left, Fox on the right!
The following picture cost me some smarties with Mr. Fox...totally worth it, right?
These shirts were one of my first projects on my Cricut Machine back in March and I loved seeing my boys in those.

Milk drunk and happy!

Tummy time! Surprisingly, he doesn't hate it as much as Fox did. For some reason he looks so big in this picture to me. Fox had bright blue eyes right from birth, but he seems to have dark grey and almost brownish eyes.

We met up with the entire family for dinner one night and Finn slept through it all...as usual.

This little love of mine! I'm really enjoying staying home with him every day, I remember that I was bored with Fox and went back to work after three weeks, but I'm loving it this time around and I'm so grateful that I get this time. I still work on Etsy and do a few things for our company as well, which is probably why I haven't been bored yet.

This picture just warms my heart (and he asked to climb in Finn's crib so I could take a picture of them together, so that's a bonus!). I'm really proud of Fox and how well he has adjusted to having a baby brother, that sometimes needs attention before him. He tells me often how much he loves his baby and I couldn't be happier to hear that.

I have about 139,943 sleeping pictures of this little angel.

He is taking a lot of naps in his crib, which Fox NEVER did. We took a newborn sleep seminar when he was two weeks old and have been practicing some things at home and he has done amazing so far, even putting himself to sleep without having to be rocked or held. One night this week, he slept a seven hour stretch, before I had to wake him up, because I needed him to nurse.

Another day, another request from Fox to climb into the crib so I could take a picture of them together. He's totally pretending to be asleep in this picture...haha.

He's seriously such a sweet baby. Please don't grow up! ;)

Finn | Week 2

Finn is two weeks old!
Well, he's actually almost four weeks old, but I'm running behind on these, so let's roll with it.

And here is the comparison, Fox on the left and Finn on the right!

I received this teddy when I was a newborn and it's the only item I have left from my childhood, so it's incredibly special to me.

Aunt Ashlie came over one night to get some Finn cuddles and play with Fox!

First time in his stroller, he slept right through our entire outing! Fox never liked this bassinet, so I'm glad we will be getting some use out of it this time.

My first day at home by myself with both boys! Fox was still on school break and  while we didn't get out of our jammies until after lunch, we all had a great day!

He's making these faces a lot in his sleep!

Sweet angel!

First sponge bath while we waited for his umbilical cord to fall off.

One day the grandparents came over to see the boys! Grandpa can't wait for Finn to get older so they can play wild like him and Fox play all the time. Grandma on the other hand is like me and enjoys the baby cuddles before he grows up way too quickly and doesn't want to cuddle anymore!

They're always waiting to see his eyes, but he seems to be always sleeping when they come over.

First time baby wearing this little guy.

Fox asked me to put Finn in his bed while he was sleeping, so I did...and my heart burst into a million pieces seeing this!

Mama had to get out of the house, so I met up with a group of friends for brunch and it was a much needed outing.

His first real bath, he loved it and was totally relaxed!

Finn | Week 1

A look back at Finn's first week at home!
Anyone remember these pictures I took with Fox? I loved them so much that I decided to do them again with Finn. As you can see, he was a big fan!

And here is the comparison, Finn on the left and Fox on the right. Fox was about 2 pounds heavier in this picture, but other than that, I think they look very much alike.
They are actually fraternal twins, just born four years apart. They were conceived at the exact same time in the lab, but Finn was frozen for four years. Science is amazing!

Katie took this picture right when we came home from the hospital. One tired Mama!

Grandma Rene' came over that night to visit for a little bit, before she drove back to California where she just bought a house.

Fox is checking out Finn's feet! He was a little disappointed that he would sleep so much and wasn't ready to play with him yet!

We've been home for about three weeks and he has only asked to hold Finn maybe twice, so I had to capture the moment.

He's definitely a proud big brother, although he told his entire school that his baby's name was Jack after he was first born...not sure where that came from, but I thought it was hilarious.

Two days after we came home from the hospital we decided to take Fox to Open Gym at a nearby Gymnastics place that he loves. When Fox was a baby, we were scared every time we left the house and mostly stayed home, but this time around everything seems so much easier. Fox was pretty excited to have Baby Finn join him at gymnastics!

Katie's grandparents came over one night to meet their newest great-grandson!

Made with lots of love and a little bit of science!
I bought this onesie when I first found out that I was pregnant and it's pretty surreal to see him in it now.

First pediatrician appointment at six days old! He was still 20 inches long and weighed 6lbs, 10oz.

My two boys!

This is pretty much all the did the first week, sleep all day (and night). I had to wake him up every three hours to feed him, since he hadn't gained his birth weight back, but he is a pretty fast eater, so I still got enough sleep at night, even with having to wake him.
Katie was home with us for the first week and Fox was out of school for the week, so we pretty much just relaxed and played at home. I kind of felt bad for Fox that week, because he is usually so active and social at school, so we invited his best buddy over to play one day and those boys played so great together for five hours straight, it was awesome for everyone!

Look at those wrinkles on his leg...love it! Such a sweet boy!
