My Once Upon a Time...

Day 358 Fox had a buddy over to play and after being sick and couped up in the house for the last week, he was so excited to play with someone other than us! Day 359 Fox and I went to the candlelight service on Christmas Eve and they gave him a glow stick instead of a candle. He was mesmerized by the singing and every time they would finish a song, he would stuff that little glow stick in between his legs as fast as he could so he could clap. It was so cute to watch and the service was beautiful, it was my favorite part of the day.  Day 360 This is what Christmas looked like at the Jones House! Day 361 Fox was very surprised that Santa wasn't at his usual spot in the mall when he went to the play place with Hannah. Day 362 Katie sent me this picture while I was grocery shopping to make me jealous that she got Fox cuddles. Day 351 No day is complete without a dance party at our house! One day, Fox heard this song on the radio and said "I like this song!" It has since become his favorite song and he NEEDS to dance to it, whenever it plays! He certainly got his moves from me! :) Day 352 We rode the Polar Express! Day 353 My old host mom (from when I was an au pair in 2001) sent Fox some amazing gifts. This art table is just one of them, she really spoiled him and Fox was so excited to open his presents and has not stopped playing with them since. She used to own a few toy stores and I remember her kids always having the best toys...I see she still has amazing taste! Day 354 We went out to look at some Christmas lights Day 355 Fox really got into the Elf on the Shelf this year and loved looking for him every morning! He became quite the pro at spotting him (even when he was less obvious than riding a dinosaur on the piano)! Day 356 Pediatrician Appointm...

Day 344 We took Mr. Fox to see Santa! Day 345 His face when he saw (fake) snow! Day 346 Santa landed in a helicopter at a local airport, of course Fox was more interested in meeting the pilots than Santa! Day 347 We went to a Resort that had a huge Christmas display and invited Fox's great grandma along. Usually Fox doesn't really like characters, but for whatever reason he loved this "Shivers" guy. Day 348 I had the rare opportunity to take Fox to his basketball class and see him in action. This is when they ended the class and counted to three and then yelled "TEAM!". We have since done this about 142 times at home. Fox always explains to me that I get two stamps if I yell "Team" loud, only one stamp if I do it quietly.  Day 349 Reading a Christmas Book with Mommy! Day 350 My best friend had a baby and my day was made by getting to hold him! Love this little guy already!

Day 337 I hosted my second cookie and ornament exchange and this is the only picture I took! Ha! We had such a great time and I'm so grateful to have these ladies in my life! Day 338 Fox and his best friend! Day 339 We spent the morning at our favorite park Day 340 Grandma Rene' sent us this picture, she picked up Fox from school and took him to the toy store! He was so excited! Day 341 "Nikolaus" came to our house. Fox doesn't have any boots that we could put out, so his little shoe had to do. He was excited to find all the goodies by the front door in the morning.  Day 342 My boy and me at the playground! Day 343 Christmas Bunco!

Day 330 Having fun in Mexico! Day 331 Fox's first Smores and Bonfire Day 332 We decorated the Christmas Tree and Fox found an ornament he immediately claimed as his new favorite toy! Day 333 We got our Christmas Lights up! Day 334 I've waited so many years to give Fox his first advent calendar (yes, I had this all planned out years before he was born). I just didn't realize how hard it would be to explain to a two year old that he can only open one per day! (One Christmas book for each night until Christmas) He was also a little disappointed that there weren't any airplanes in his present...ha! Day 335 Playdate with his friend Miranda! Day 336 My favorite part about Fox's school is, that they send us so many pictures on a daily basis, so we can see what he has been up to!

Day 323 Katie fulfilled a lifelong dream of hers and we climbed up a Mayan Pyramid! Day 324 One last stop before we headed home...meeting some alligators! Day 325 He is my kid! Every day he will tell me "It's Christmas Time, Mama!" I hope he will be mesmerized by the magic for a few more years! Day 326 When your two year old scolds you because he found his "art" in the trash, you take it out and promise you will keep it forever!  # busted Day 327 Setting up and taking down my little Christmas Village is such a hassle, but seeing his eyes light up when he saw it for the first time made it all worth it! Day 328 Our sweet friend Lindsey gave us this shirt for Fox's birthday and I love it. Day 329 At GG's beach house in Mexico on Thanksgiving!
