Pumpkin Patch Time

I hate to admit this to myself, but I think this might have been our last visit to the pumpkin patch. It was another very hot day, Fox constantly gets allergy attacks with all the hay and dust, and I don't think either of them necessarily enjoyed it this year.

We did meet up with a bunch of friends like we have in previous years, which definitely made it more fun for everyone.

Trying to cool off with some shaved ice.

It was like herding sheep, between all the different moms, and kids, everyone had different needs, wanted to eat different things, had to go to the bathroom, wanted to do different activities, and it took HOURS until we rallied everyone up to get into the corn maze. It was exhausting!

But here we are, you can see Finn's grumpy face in this picture, and while Fox was smiling, he was absolutely hating life at this moment haha.

Annual maze picture with my besties!

If this was indeed our last trip to the pumpkin patch, I know I will be very sad this coming October. Taking the boys for the last 11 years, sometimes to multiple patches per year, was one of my very favorite things to do. I will never forget all the happy memories we had, and I'm glad I documented them all, so I will be able to look back when they're all grown up and reminisce about their childhood.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
