My Once Upon a Time...

I received a phone call from my ex mother-in-law last year, saying that she wants to take me on a trip, just her and I, anywhere I want to go in the world. Say what?!? I didn't have to think very long to decide that I wanted to go to Ireland. She had already been a few years prior, and we started planning our trip for this summer. While I have traveled with her with the family many times before, we never been on a solo trip, and she spoiled me beyond belief, from flying first class, shopping, to five star hotels and Michelin restaurants...I was in awe the entire time. We had a red eye flight and arrived around 8am to our first hotel in Dublin before we started to explore the city. We visited Trinity college, walked around, took a hop on/hop off bus tour, and enjoyed the beautiful weather that was such a stark contrast from the Phoenix heat. A few random pictures from our July! Fox got his braces and I haven't gotten used to his new smile yet! We had a movie date! And my favorite co-worker and I had a brunch date! My mother in law sent me this picture of the boys in Washington, I guess they were laughing because Finn farted haha.  Pool time with this cool dude. I want to remember how sweet and loving Fox is at this stage of his life. He constantly hugs me, tells me he loves me, and will hold my hand while we are watching TV. I know my days are numbered, but I hope he never loses his sweet and caring spirit. Finn had $5 and spent it on this book blanket. We both love it, but lucky me, he is always willing to share. I took the boys to Activate one afternoon, and they had a lot of fun playing all the different games there.  I guess they took this selfie and since it was registered to their wrist bands, it was emailed to me after. I already posted about most of our June, but here are some other random pictures that didn't make the cut yet. My work friend left me this note on my desk at work and it made my day. Breakfast date with Finn at our favorite restaurant.  Toy Story 5 with Jake, followed by a swim date. Fun Fact: Toy Story 4 was Finn's very first movie theater movie, at 11 months old! Little dude had an eye exam. I told him that I was proud of him and it must have been so hard to get his eyes dilated, and he said: "What do you mean, this was fun!" Big day for Mr. Fox, he got his braces and I feel so bad for him, because I remember too well how painful this is.  After Finn and Charlie got along so well during our trip, we invited him over for an all day playdate, which ended up with him inviting himself over for a sleepover as well...haha!
