August phone dump

It's September, and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come...Fall, Halloween, Christmas...it's my favorite time of year.
But let's look back at our August!

I've had them fill out the same back to school form since they started school many years ago.

When all the kids go back to school, us moms celebrate with a back to school brunch and it was everything my heart needed and more! So many good conversations, so many laughs, and getting to hold baby Nora was the icing on the cake!

Fox read with me in the car while we were waiting for Finn's bus...it made me so happy!

He asked me to make him an "ultimate chill space" while he was at school, and this is what I came up with. He approved, and even tried to have a sleepover with me there, but we only made it for about an hour, before we went to bed.

I took the kids, and one of Fox's friend to the water park one afternoon and it was perfect.


Finn braved the high dive for the very first time! He was not a fan, but I was proud of him for trying it.

I will always take a picture when one of my kids grabs my hand. Don't blink...!






The boys convinced me to have a sleepover at my house with their friends, and while it was a wild night, it went much better than expected and they were so grateful and happy. 

Late night swimming with the boys was a little stressful, constantly counting heads to make sure everyone was okay. These boys were wild!


A patient at work gave me this stuffed animal and I knew Finn would absolutely love it, but the looks I got carrying this thing out of the hospital were funny!

I had a little help though! She's my favorite!

We celebrated Finn's birthday a little late with 8 of his friends at "Activate", and they had so much fun!

I thought it was so funny that all of the gifts he received were Legos. He has been really into building legos lately, so this was perfect!

He asked to make cupcakes one afternoon.

We had to take Fox to a blood draw, and Finn kept farting really loudly in the waiting room with tons of people around, and this were their faces.

It's always a great night when Fox makes us dinner!


Finished another lego, and he was so proud of it.

And this wraps up August!

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

August iPhone dump

Some moments from my August... Coffee treats during busy shifts! Fox had a pool playdate with some friends. First day of middle school! Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't send him off that day, but my favorite co-parent came through with some pictures from the bus stop. Found a bunch of these selfies on my phone haha. On the way to school one morning, middle school is rough apparently. A quick brunch with friends to celebrate the end of summer break! My sweet friend Nikki gave me this bucket full of beautiful dresses that she had outgrown. A lot of them still had tags on them! Dinner date with the boys, they preferred playing a game together instead of talking to me...haha! Homework struggles have begun again! Sweet treats after school while we wait for Finn to get off the bus. Unfortunately their buses arrive an hour apart from each other, so we have a lot of waiting around because the bus stop is too far from my house.  He was helping me make schnitzel!
