Grand Canyon

At the beginning of November, I went on a little trip to the Grand Canyon and it was such a great weekend. We rented this really cute AirBnB in Flagstaff.

I literally loved everything about it, and would've bought it in a heartbeat if it was available haha.

The first night we found a small town tavern close to the rental where we had dinner.

The next day, we took the Grand Canyon Railroad bright and early for our trip to the Grand Canyon. They had food and drinks on the train, and several musicians that would come from cabin to cabin.

The train ride was about 2.5 hours and the weather was nice and sunny at the Canyon.

I called my mom when we got there to show her the Grand Canyon, and then we walked around for the next three hours, had lunch, visited shops and art galleries.

On the way back, the train offered more complimentary food, and "robbers" entered the train, it was cute watching the kids on board and their eyes growing wide when the train all of the sudden stopped, because there were cowboys on horses with guns riding along the train, and then entering.

We walked around the small town of Williams for a little bit and then headed back to the rental for dinner.

The next morning was already check out, but I enjoyed a few quiet moments in my happy place with a good book.

We stopped in Sedona on the way home where we had lunch and walked around the shops, and it was a perfect ending to a perfect weekend!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
