August iPhone dump

A look back to our August!

The boys had their first karate testing and Finn earned two stripes, and Fox earned four. They both did a great job, and their sensei told them how proud she was of them since they've only been training for two months, and Finn was the youngest in the class.

We had a playdate at a new mini golf place with some friends, and it was really fun, I'm hoping to go back soon. It was a little bit like Top Golf, everything was automated.

My friend Tilly celebrated her birthday with a pool party, and rented a Barbie themed house for the weekend, which was really cute.

Zoning out...

I bought tickets to this comedy show a long time ago, and went by myself. I've never gone to an event like this by myself, which kind of felt weird, but also empowering on some level.

Not sure what is going on here...

After the kids went back to school, Friday brunches with friends went back onto the calendar.

This is at Katie's house, Fox has a whole computer set up there, where he now makes his own youtube videos.

He also requested a new room at my house, which is fair, since his old bed was a rocket ship, and he is kind of getting too old for it. So I took him on a little shopping spree to pick out some decorations for his new room...can you guess the theme?

I had to document Finn doing his very first homework.

A beautiful sunset in the backyard.

Look at that big kid! Our first day on the school bus was a little rough, because I put two kids on the bus in the morning, and only received one back. Fox was lost for a solid hour, and no one knew where he was. It turned out that he went on the wrong bus, and I was freaking out the entire time he was gone, and even involved the police. Needless to say, both boys now have apple tags on their backpack so I can see where they are at during the school day.

He got a little cold during dinner, so I had to share my sweater.
And that wraps up August!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

August iPhone dump

Some moments from my August... Coffee treats during busy shifts! Fox had a pool playdate with some friends. First day of middle school! Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't send him off that day, but my favorite co-parent came through with some pictures from the bus stop. Found a bunch of these selfies on my phone haha. On the way to school one morning, middle school is rough apparently. A quick brunch with friends to celebrate the end of summer break! My sweet friend Nikki gave me this bucket full of beautiful dresses that she had outgrown. A lot of them still had tags on them! Dinner date with the boys, they preferred playing a game together instead of talking to me...haha! Homework struggles have begun again! Sweet treats after school while we wait for Finn to get off the bus. Unfortunately their buses arrive an hour apart from each other, so we have a lot of waiting around because the bus stop is too far from my house.  He was helping me make schnitzel! We watched Bad guys ...
