August iPhone dump

It's that time of month, my monthly photo dump!
Finn received this kinetic sand kit for his birthday and it has been his favorite gift.

Every night he falls asleep in his own bed, and then magically wakes up in mine the next morning. Sweet baby.

Katie's two cousins from Alaska moved to Arizona with their kids and we had dinner at Grandma's house. There were six kids and Fox was the oldest, needless to say it was loud and crazy.

We went into the pool after dinner and Fox had a lot of fun playing with his 5-year old cousin.

Every time Finn and I go to Butterfly Wonderland he asks me to take a picture in this exact spot.

And in this one as well!

It's been really nice having these outings with Finn again while Fox is in school, it's our own special time.

"Mama, take a picture of me hiding here!"

Finn received money from Grandma for his birthday, so I took him to Target to pick out some toys, and he had his best day ever. Usually when we go to Target, we only look at the toys, but never buy any, but this time he was able to put anything in the cart that he wanted to.

I used to be obsessed with eating at Raising Canes, but hadn't been in over a year. I figured Finn might like it, since chicken tenders are his favorite food of all times, and I was right. He loved the Texas Toast, the chicken, and even got a lemonade. He told me that Canes is now his favorite restaurant...ha!

Sitting in the car at school and waiting for Fox has been our new daily routine.

This kid is always picking his nose!

Another day, another mandatory picture at Butterfly Wonderland.

I took these two crazy boys to the zoo by myself, while his Mama had an appointment. It was a rare day where the weather had cooled off enough after a big rainstorm, so we could finally go back.

They were so good together, no one ran away, and I was still exhausted after a few hours.

Finn wanted to give him a hug and they both tumbled over.

I took my boys to Legoland and SeaLife Aquarium on one of the weekends they were with me. We had a lot of fun!

This smiley boy has been giving me a run for my money lately, and probably added a ton more grey hairs on my head. He loves having my full attention, and if he doesn't get it, the whole world is ending. I don't remember if Fox had a lot of meltdowns around that age, but if he did, I probably blocked it out. But nonetheless, I'm still enjoying having him home full-time with me.

He's been all about pictures lately. "Look Mama, Christmas trees! Take my picture!"

Finn doesn't just love my attention, but his brother's attention as well. And when he gets it, he is having the best day. They play so well together and I love watching them.

Another favorite this month: playing with water beads!

We got some cake pops from Starbucks one day after school and they both got a kick out of it, that the cake pop was a Fox.

This is Finn's idea of playing hide and seek.

Tooth number 8!

Another lunch date at Canes...good thing we both love it.

I didn't pay attention because I was on the phone and I walked right into a cactus. These suckers were deep in my skin and I had another one of these bushels in my butt. It took me probably about an hour to get them all out and it was so painful.

We had lots of aquarium visits and I'm getting a little tired of that place, but fall is just around the corner and we'll be able to play outside again.

My friend Lindsay invited us to her daughter's pool birthday party and Fox was living his best life. I was so proud of him because he didn't know any of the kids there and he is very shy. I was expecting him to complain the entire time, but he had a great time.

My friend Corinne gave me four tickets to an indoor football game. I had only been twice in my life, and obviously the boys had never been, so I figured we would try it and if they didn't like it, we could always leave. Finn was really into cheering, he was clapping his little heart out.

During halftime, they had some of the audience fight each other in those giant bubble balls and Fox thought it was hilarious.

Grandma picked them up to bake some cookies and Mama got to take a nap!
It was a great month!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

Willow Trees

We took some family pictures this fall!

August iPhone dump

Some moments from my August... Coffee treats during busy shifts! Fox had a pool playdate with some friends. First day of middle school! Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't send him off that day, but my favorite co-parent came through with some pictures from the bus stop. Found a bunch of these selfies on my phone haha. On the way to school one morning, middle school is rough apparently. A quick brunch with friends to celebrate the end of summer break! My sweet friend Nikki gave me this bucket full of beautiful dresses that she had outgrown. A lot of them still had tags on them! Dinner date with the boys, they preferred playing a game together instead of talking to me...haha! Homework struggles have begun again! Sweet treats after school while we wait for Finn to get off the bus. Unfortunately their buses arrive an hour apart from each other, so we have a lot of waiting around because the bus stop is too far from my house.  He was helping me make schnitzel! We watched Bad guys ...
