Mexico...again!

After a few stressful weeks at work, nothing sounded better than a long weekend at Katie's grandparents house in Mexico. 

Nach ein paar stressigen Wochen auf der Arbeit, klang nichts besser als ein langes Wochenende im Haus von Katie's Grosseltern in Mexiko zu verbringen.


We had a great time eating good food, playing games and going shopping. I love spending time with them!

Wir hatten ein schoenes Wochenende mit gutem Essen, Gesellschaftsspielen und Shopping. Ich liebe es, Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen!


We weren't able to take Cosie this time, since he doesn't get along with Katie's grandma's dogs (he thinks they're a delicious treat and even reminders like "Friends, not Food!" don't work;)), but Zuma had a blast playing on the beach.

Wir konnten Cosie dieses Mal leider nicht mitnehmen, weil er sich nicht gut mit den Hunden von Katie's Grosseltern versteht (er betrachtet sie als eine Delikatesse und selbst Mahnungen wie "Freunde, kein Futter!" funktionieren nicht;)), aber Zuma hatte viel Spass am Strand.

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

August iPhone dump

Some moments from my August... Coffee treats during busy shifts! Fox had a pool playdate with some friends. First day of middle school! Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't send him off that day, but my favorite co-parent came through with some pictures from the bus stop. Found a bunch of these selfies on my phone haha. On the way to school one morning, middle school is rough apparently. A quick brunch with friends to celebrate the end of summer break! My sweet friend Nikki gave me this bucket full of beautiful dresses that she had outgrown. A lot of them still had tags on them! Dinner date with the boys, they preferred playing a game together instead of talking to me...haha! Homework struggles have begun again! Sweet treats after school while we wait for Finn to get off the bus. Unfortunately their buses arrive an hour apart from each other, so we have a lot of waiting around because the bus stop is too far from my house.  He was helping me make schnitzel!
