My Once Upon a Time...

While I love attending Christmas events, I never particularly enjoyed it at our local train park, because it was always super crowded and the line for the train took 1.5-2 hours, unless you purchased their overpriced fast passes. But due to Covid they had changed the event up a little bit and I absolutely loved it. You had to purchase a certain time slot and it wasn't busy at all, but you also only got one hour at the park.  2/3 did not want to take a picture. Mama won. We went on the carousel first and I remembered how much Finn hated it last fall, but he seemed to be okay with it this time.  He loved all of the lights so much. We met some friends and I'm pretty sure all of the hugs weren't Fox's idea, but he humored Miranda and it was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. Ready for the train ride! One night in December I took the boys to Christmas at Schnepf Farms. We usually go to this farm for their pumpkin patch, but in the last couple of years they added this Christmas event and you know we are all about Christmassy things! Finn loved all of the lights this year and I loved seeing the joy in his eyes everywhere we went. Tried to get a good picture with both of my boys...this is what I got! He wrote his name on the Nice list...of course! His unicorn hat still cracks me up. He insisted on buying it two years ago at the zoo and still loves it. I love the confidence! We painted some ornaments in Santa's workshop and I can still find glitter in my car and in our stroller to this day! A sweet brotherly moment captured on camera. Have you seen the pictures of all of these "quarantined elves" on social media? I can't say that I was even slightly tempted to quarantine our elf, because it's almost as fun for me as it is for the kids. At least for the first week or so...then it kind of gets old. I'm sure some of you can relate.  Here are some pictures of our elf adventures, we always start out on December 1st, but since Katie had the boys some of the weekends, our elf got a much needed break sometimes.  Sorry Finn!
